Quatro temas kelsenianos

Rules and norms: two kinds of normative behaviour:
2016
Celano’s notion of a “pre-convention” is grounded in the opposition between two allegedly different kinds of normative behaviour: observing a “rule” and conforming to a “norm”. This opposition plays a central role in Celano’s paper, and marks a crucial point in his intellectual trajectory. Nevertheless, it remains largely implicit. In this paper, I try to make it fully explicit, giving a more precise characterisation of both kinds of normative behaviour. I also focus on the importance of distinguishing between them, express some conjectures (or wishes) regarding Celano’s future research, and propose a (marginal) criticism.
La normatividad nomólogica de Paulson
2017
In some of his recent work Stanley Paulson puts forward a number of important and ambitious exegetical claims about Hans Kelsen’s Pure Theory of Law. Some of these claims are not novel in Paulson’s rich Kelsenian corpus. But, taken together, these claims now amount to the main outlines of a fully-fledged interpretation of the theoretical foundations of the Pure Theory of Law. Paulson holds that (1) contrary to what Joseph Raz, Carlos S. Nino and many others have claimed, there is, in the Pure Theory of Law, no “justified normativity” thesis. Kelsenian normativity is, rather, “nomological” normativity. (2) ‘Validity’ is not, in the Pure Theory of Law, a matter of the reasons norm-subjects ma…
European fitness landscape for children and adolescents: updated reference values, fitness maps and country rankings based on nearly 8 million test r…
2023
Objectives (1) To develop reference values for health-related fitness in European children and adolescents aged 6–18 years that are the foundation for the web-based, open-access and multilanguage fitness platform (FitBack); (2) to provide comparisons across European countries. Methods This study builds on a previous large fitness reference study in European youth by (1) widening the age demographic, (2) identifying the most recent and representative country-level data and (3) including national data from existing fitness surveillance and monitoring systems. We used the Assessing Levels of PHysical Activity and fitness at population level (ALPHA) test battery as it comprises tests with the h…
Opinioni degli studenti e norme anticovid
2021
In this chapter, the results of a research on young people's opinions and attitudes towards anticovid rules are presented. The respondents were asked to answer the following question: "What is your opinion about f the measures taken by the government to combat the spread of the coronavirus?" The answers were subjected to a double analysis.
Giovani e legalità in tempo di pandemia
2021
This volume focuses on subjects and data analysed from different perspectives in the light of the health emergency. An emergency which has prompted everyone not only to deal with medical, biological or statistical information (dynamics of contagions, increase in contagions, immune response, effectiveness of vaccines, etc.), but also with the processes of producing of norms, rules and regulations to be interpreted and assessed, as well as with the modification of the spaces of freedom of individuals and organisations.
Encouraging ecological behaviour through induced hypocrisy and inconsistency.
2016
International audience; Remembering one’s past transgressions of a social norm is known as an effective paradigm for enhancing pro-social and ecological behaviours. Our study aimed to show that reminding one’s norm transgressions can arise cognitive dissonance and can lead to behavioural change as induced hypocrisy does. In particular, we tested whether inconsistency between the self-concept and the remembered past transgressions is or is not likely to encourage behavioural change. To reach this goal, we conducted an experiment comparing induced hypocrisy, injunctive inconsistency and descriptive inconsistency with five comparison conditions. The results showed that, as observed with the in…
Locally convex quasi $C^*$-normed algebras
2012
Abstract If A 0 [ ‖ ⋅ ‖ 0 ] is a C ∗ -normed algebra and τ a locally convex topology on A 0 making its multiplication separately continuous, then A 0 ˜ [ τ ] (completion of A 0 [ τ ] ) is a locally convex quasi ∗-algebra over A 0 , but it is not necessarily a locally convex quasi ∗-algebra over the C ∗ -algebra A 0 ˜ [ ‖ ⋅ ‖ 0 ] (completion of A 0 [ ‖ ⋅ ‖ 0 ] ). In this article, stimulated by physical examples, we introduce the notion of a locally convex quasi C ∗ -normed algebra, aiming at the investigation of A 0 ˜ [ τ ] ; in particular, we study its structure, ∗-representation theory and functional calculus.
On t-Conorm Based Fuzzy (Pseudo)metrics
2020
We present an alternative approach to the concept of a fuzzy (pseudo)metric using t-conorms instead of t-norms and call them t-conorm based fuzzy (pseudo)metrics or just CB-fuzzy (pseudo)metrics. We develop the basics of the theory of CB-fuzzy (pseudo)metrics and compare them with “classic” fuzzy (pseudo)metrics. A method for construction CB-fuzzy (pseudo)metrics from ordinary metrics is elaborated and topology induced by CB-fuzzy (pseudo)metrics is studied. We establish interrelations between CB-fuzzy metrics and modulars, and in the process of this study, a particular role of Hamacher t-(co)norm in the theory of (CB)-fuzzy metrics is revealed. Finally, an intuitionistic version of a CB-fu…
