The article deals, through an analysis of a ruling by the Court of Cassation, with the principle of self-sufficiency of the transcription note. According to this ruling, in particular, only the content of the note must be considered in order to establish whether and to what extent a given act …

Caffeic acid skin absorption: Delivery of microparticles to hair follicles

2019

Graphical abstract: Emulsions containing CA were prepared, one of which contain free CA and the other microencapsulated CA. They were applied to delimited area of skin. Subsequently the tape stripping and differential striping methods were applied.

A Compact SPICE Model for Organic TFTs and Applications to Logic Circuit Design

2016

This work introduces a compact DC model developed for organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) and its SPICE implementation. The model relies on a modified version of the gradual channel approximation that takes into account the contact effects, occurring at nonohmic metal/organic semiconductor junctions, modeling them as reverse biased Schottky diodes. The model also comprises channel length modulation and scalability of drain current with respect to channel length. To show the suitability of the model, we used it to design an inverter and a ring oscillator circuit. Furthermore, an experimental validation of the OTFTs has been done at the level of the single device as well as with a discrete-…

ChemInform Abstract: Luminescent Ionic Transition Metal Complexes for Light-Emitting Electrochemical Cells

2012

Higher efficiency in the end-use of energy requires substantial progress in lighting concepts. All the technologies under development are based on solid-state electroluminescent materials and belong to the general area of solid-state lighting (SSL). The two main technologies being developed in SSL are light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), but in recent years, light-emitting electrochemical cells (LECs) have emerged as an alternative option. The luminescent materials in LECs are either luminescent polymers together with ionic salts or ionic species, such as ionic transition-metal complexes (iTMCs). Cyclometalated complexes of IrIII are by far the most utiliz…

Translational diffusion coefficients of volatile compounds in various aqueous solutions at low and subzero temperatures.

2005

International audience; Translational diffusion coefficients (D(12)) of volatile compounds were measured in model media with the profile concentration method. The influence of sample temperature (from 25 to -10 degrees C) was studied on translational diffusion in sucrose or maltodextrin solutions at various concentrations. Results show that diffusivity of volatile compounds in sucrose solutions is controlled by temperature, molecule size, and the viscosity of the liquid phase as expected with the Stokes-Einstein equation; moreover, physicochemical interactions between volatile compounds and the medium are determinant for diffusion estimation. At negative temperature, the winding path induce…

Production of a Recombinant Catechol 2,3-Dioxygenase for the Degradation of Micropollutants

2017

Phenolic compounds such as catechol represent a particular type of micropollutant whose high stability prevents rapid decay and metabolization in the environment. We successfully cloned a catechol 2,3-dioxygenase (C2,3O) from Pseudomonas putida mt-2 and expressed it in Escherichia coli BER2566. The biomass isolated from shake-flask fermentations was used to partially purify the enzyme. The enzyme proved unstable in clarified liquid fractions (50 mM Tris buffer, pH 7.6) and lost more than 90% of its activity over 7 h at 25 °C. In the presence of 10% acetone, the process was slowed down and 30% residual activity was still present after 7 h incubation. Storage of the enzyme in clear liquid fr…
