The contribution presents two hoards found inside the service rooms of the extramoenia sanctuary of Sabucina, an anellenic center in the Sicilian hinterland. It is a unique context in the panorama of indigenous settlements in Sicily, also because the hoards were discovered during a stratigraphic excavation and the associated materials date their burial to the early 4th century BC, when the site was abandoned

En el Siglo de Oro asistimos a un coleccionismo que se orienta a reunir curiosidades o piezas antiguas que se despliega en la corte y en ambientes cultos. Es un interés estético lo que guía a los eruditos a incorporar artefactos y obras de arte del pasado para embellecer casas y jardines, pero también es afán de conocer. En su Wunderkammer, que frecuentaban personajes como Baltasar Gracián, Lastanosa disponía de tratados sobre antigu?edad y numismática. Él mismo compuso manuscritos y editó dos obras: el Museo de las medallas desconocidas españolas, sobre moneda antigua, y el Tratado de la moneda jaquesa, sobre moneda medieval y moderna aragonesa.

Al igual que otros períodos mal documentados de la historia de la ciudad, la Malaca tardoantigua es hoy, por fortuna, mucho mejor conocida. Ello, en parte, es una lógica y feliz consecuencia del notable impulso que han recibido los estudios sobre la antigu?edad tardía de Hispania, en los que la siempre valiosa contribución de las fuentes literarias se ve complementada con la decisiva aportación de la Arqueología (Ramallo, Vizcaino 2002). La moneda, en su condiciónde singular objeto arqueológico, tiene una especial cabida enestos estudios.

L'any 1995 apareixia, en el carrer de la Llibertat de la ciutat de València, durant una excavació arqueològica d'urgència, un tresor format per 2.483 monedes grosses d'argent, encunyades en la seca de Barcelona. A partir d'aquesta troballa, s'ha plantejat un treball de recerca al voltant de la fabricació i circulació del croat barcelonés: prenent com a punt de partida l'estudi de les monedes del tresor, s'ha tractat de demostrar la invariabilitat de la talla 72/M al llarg de tota la primera etapa del gros de Barcelona (Pere II – Pere III), així com la utilització d'aquest tipus monetari en el regne de València en paritat amb la moneda valenciana, junt amb els menuts barcelonesos. It is remarkable the discovery in the hinterland of Sicily of three “mixed” hoards, including not only coins, but also of bronze scraps and small fragmentary objects. They demonstrate that in these centers, still in the 4th century BC, the coin was considered a worthless piece of metal and that other bronze objects were used as medium of exchange. Darbā raksturotas tūbainā rododendra Rhododendron tomentosum Harmaja viengadīgu veģetatīvo un ģeneratīvo dzinumu uzbūves īpašības, salīdzināti katra dzinuma apikālā un bazālā gala fragmenti. Dzinumi ievākti trīs dažādās audzēs, lai noskaidrot vides faktoru – klimatisko apstākļu un augsnes sastāva iespējamo ietekmi primārajā un sekundārajā augšanā. Viengadīgajiem dzinumiem izmērīts gada pieaugums, bet iegūtajiem griezumiem mērīti astoņi raksturlielumi. The contribution is a critical analysis of the scientific studies of Greek and Roman numismatics concerning Sicily and produced between 2008 and 2013. The examination reveals a growing interest in the age of the "signing masters", even if the number does not seem to decrease attention for the years between Dionysius and Timoleon and for the period of the end of the III century BC, when Sicily entered the orbit of Rome. There are numerous publications of coin finds and hoards. There is also a particular attention to antiquities, while one of the main poles of interest continues to be iconography.
