HOW DO FISCAL CONSOLIDATION AND FISCAL STIMULI IMPACT ON THE SYNCHRONIZATION OF BUSINESS CYCLES?

Using quarterly data for a panel of advanced economies, we show that synchronized fiscal consolidation (stimulus) programmes in different countries make their business cycles more closely linked. We also find: (i) some evidence of decoupling when an inflation targeting regime is unilaterally adopted; (ii) an increase in business cycle synchronization when countries fix their exchange rates and become members of a monetary union; (iii) a positive effect of bilateral trade on the synchronization of business cycles. Families of solutions to the KPI equation and the structure of their rational representations of order N

We construct solutions to the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation (KPI) in terms of Fredholm determinants. We deduce solutions written as a quotient of wronskians of order 2N. These solutions called solutions of order N depend on 2N − 1 parameters. They can also be written as a quotient of two polynomials of degree 2N (N + 1) in x, y and t depending on 2N − 2 parameters. The maximum of the modulus of these solutions at order N is equal to 2(2N + 1) 2. We explicitly construct the expressions until the order 6 and we study the patterns of their modulus in the plane (x, y) and their evolution according to time and parameters.

Why is Math so hard for some children? We want to start from the vision and the teorethical dissertation, supported by educational and philosophical theories that here are presented, to use the concept of reification. A new element in contemporary reason is therefore the re-emergence of the subject, the reconsideration of the distinction between objective and subjective, between that which belongs to the subject and that which belongs to the object. We want to submit an experience of study with 10-year old children, at primary school. The aim is to help children in forming the abstract concept of prime numbers and to use this concept for build other concepts.
