2022

This review is a systematic scientific work on medicinal and traditional use, on the chemical composition of specialized metabolites, volatile and non-volatile, on aspects related to toxicology and phytotherapy of Nigella damascena L. The genus Nigella (Ranunculaceae) is distributed throughout the Mediterranean basin, extending to northern India, and has been divided into three sections. Nigella damanscena L. is traditionally used as an ingredient in food, for example, as flavouring agents in bread and cheese, but is also known in folk medicine, used to regulate menstruation; for catarrhal affections and amenorrhea; as a diuretic and sternutatory; as an analgesic, anti-oedematous, and antip…

From the Museum to the site and backwards

2021

Digital archaeological reconstructions usually at documenting the original position of blocks and architectural elements of the building, both the ones on site and those exhibited in museums. Digital survey and representation provide the opportunity to place the fragments into the reconstruction model of the building, thus making the understanding of their shape and function much easier. A relevant difference between past and present reconstructions is the representation of the context and the landscape. The context is a relevant feature of watercolor ‘Restorations’ of the Grand Tour; on the other hand, in digital reconstructions the landscape is often neglected or reduced to a ‘background’…

"Understand and be understood" : English pronunciation teaching in Finnish upper secondary schools assessed by university students of English

2016

University students' attitudes towards phonemic transcription as a teaching method : a survey of English students

2017

Tämän tutkimuksen aiheena on englannin kielen opettajaopiskelijoiden asenteet foneemista tarkekirjoitusta kohtaan oppimisvälineenä. Tutkimuksen päätavoitteena on selvittää, kuinka paljon ja millä tavoilla opiskelijat kokevat hyötyneensä foneemisen tarkekirjoituksen opiskelusta ääntämyksen opiskelussa. Lisäksi pyritään selvittä…

Attività musicale, patrocinio e condizione femminile nei monasteri palermitani (sec. XVII-XVIII)

2016
