The work arises from the consideration that the environmental impact of a road cannot be limited to the analysis of its constituent materials, even if correctly analyzed in their life cycle. In fact, a given road not only consists of the pavement and subgrade, but also includes several different components and accessories (e.g. road marking, drainages, safety barriers, etc.) that contribute to set a road infrastructure in operative conditions. Characteristics of the translation product are often used in translation process research as predictors for cognitive load, and by extension translation difficulty. In the last decade, user-activity information such as eye-tracking data has been increasingly employed as an experimental tool for that purpose. In this paper, we take a similar approach. Artykuł przedstawia algorytm optymalizacji zużycia energii dla broadcastu w sieciach sensorowych. Transmisja broadcastu pozwala na wysłanie danych do wszystkich portów składających się na sieć. Bezprzewodowe sieci sensorowe zbudowane są z rozproszonych urządzeń pomiarowych. Mają one ograniczone zasoby energii. W tym artykule stworzymy model sieci sensorowej z jednym sensorem broadcastującym. Do tej sieci użyjemy algorytmu znajdującego minimalne spinające drzewo wag, pozwalające na oszczędne wykorzystanie energii sensorów.
Dealing with viewers’ complaints: Role, visibility and transparency of PSB Ombudsmen in ten European countries

The article shows the results of a comparative analysis of the complaints management mechanisms offered by ten European Public Service Broadcasting (PSB) systems on their corporate websites. Using a qualitative methodology, it maps the procedures and evaluates the visibility, transparency and dissemination of results. The findings show, firstly, great diversity in terms of responsible election and management, despite the converging media governance. Also noteworthy is the margin of substantial improvement in the transparency and dissemination possibilities, specially relating to the interaction offered by the digital environment. Celem opracowania jest charakterystyka zmian zachodzących w ostatnich latach na sieciach transportowych Śląska. Przedmiotem zainteresowania są podstawowe gałęzie transportu, a zwłaszcza sieci transportu drogowego i kolejowego. Ponadto artykuł ukazuje stopień zainwestowania infrastruktury transportowej, jej braki i priorytety inwestycyjne najbliższych lat. Opracowanie, pod względem metodycznym, ma charakter przeglądowego studium opisowo-faktograficznego, wykorzystującego aktualne dane statystyczne i miejscami nawiązującego do rozwoju historycznego analizowanych sieci transportowych Śląska.
Two-particle transverse momentum correlations in pp and p-Pb collisions at energies available at the CERN Large Hadron Collider

Two-particle transverse momentum differential correlators, recently measured in Pb--Pb collisions at energies available at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC), provide an additional tool to gain insights into particle production mechanisms and infer transport properties, such as the ratio of shear viscosity to entropy density, of the medium created in Pb-Pb collisions. The longitudinal long-range correlations and the large azimuthal anisotropy measured at low transverse momenta in small collision systems, namely pp and p-Pb, at LHC energies resemble manifestations of collective behaviour.
