Multiple-scan voltammetry and OCP: Archaeometric tools for dating archaeological bronzes
2021
[EN] The application of a multiple-scan strategy to nanosamples taken from 18 cross-sections of Bronze Age arms and armour, as well as two Roman coins using two solid-state electrochemical techniques, the voltammetry of immobilized microparticles (VIMP) and open circuit potential measurements (OCP) is described. The voltammetric responses in contact with aqueous acetate buffer can be attributed to the reduction of cuprite with variable degree of compaction and crystallinity revealing significant differences in the gradient of such properties with depth. Such differences are also revealed by "dry" OCP measurements connecting points in the cross section near and separated from the corrosion l…
Interpretative model of shearband boudins internal evolution in HT ductile shear zones
2012
The internal structure of a shearband boudin resulting from an original igneous, hydrothermal or metamorphic segregation tabular rigid body is a subject of scientific interest. It allows understanding the deformation mechanisms acting on homogeneous quartz aggregate activated during simple shear progressive deformation. This work is focused on the characterization of the internal evolution of shearband boudins, using microtextural analysis, fluid inclusions studies, fractal and OCP analysis. The proposed interpretative model shows the several structural stages that can be well established during the process of the internal evolution of shearband boudin.
Smart Electric Vehicle Charging System : Controlling Multiple Electrical Vehicle Chargers using OCPP to Limit Electricity Demand
2017
Master's thesis Renewable Energy ENE500 - University of Agder 2017 Peak demand is a problem when Electrical Vehicle charging is introduced in the electricity grid. Local limitations like fuses and transformer capacity can rapidly be overloaded if multiple Electrical Vehicles are charging at the same time. This can be solved by shifting these loads in time. This master’s Thesis presents a solution by using the communication protocol OCPP to restrict one or more chargers below a set demand limit. The solution is developed in cooperation with Sharebox [1] and Grønn Kontakt [2], and is in prototype phase at the end of this Master’s Thesis. Testing demonstrates that the prototype can reduce the …
Proceedings of the Ninth International Conference on Soft Computing and Pattern Recognition (SoCPaR 2017)
2018
This book presents 18 carefully selected papers from the ninth edition of the International Conference on Soft Computing and Pattern Recognition (SoCPaR 2017), which was held in Marrakesh, Morocco from December 11 to 13, 2017. A premier conference in the Soft Computing field, SoCPaR brings together the world’s leading researchers and practitioners interested in advancing the state of the art in Soft Computing and Pattern Recognition, allowing them to exchange notes on a broad range of disciplines. The book offers a valuable reference guide for all researchers, students and practitioners in the fields of Computer Science and Engineering
