Ortogonaalinen virheluokittelu
2010
Ortogonaalinen virheluokittelu on työkalu ohjelmistokehitysprosessin tehostamiseksi. Ortogonaalinen virheluokittelu tarjoaa menetelmän ohjelmistokehitysprosessin puutteiden ja näistä aiheutuvien virheiden kirjaamiseen, sekä tavan analyso…
Leratiomyces ceres (Strophariaceae, Basidiomycota), new to Poland
2019
Leratiomyces ceres, an extra-European species hitherto unknown in Poland, was identified in a public park in Rybnik City (SW Poland). The first Polish collections of the fungus were studied using macroscopic and microscopic features. A brief description and illustration of the species, based on Polish specimens, are presented. The ecology and characteristics distinguishing L. ceres from related Leratiomyces species are also discussed.
Firme di xilografi seicenteschi nelle matrici lignee della Galleria Estense di Modena
2017

Though ancient literary sources has usually revealed a scarce interest for woodcuts, the study of writings and signatures in the woodblocks of the Galleria Estense in Modena proves that woodcutters did not always remain at the borders of art history. This is true both for the Venetian production of the first half of the 16th century and for the woodcutters linked to the Accademia Clementina in the Bologna area. Several 17th century woodblocks produced at least in part in Emilia-Romagna and mostly created for large-scale printing, show writings and signatures that can be led back to woodcutters whose specific identity is not easy to discover. This practice was probably more due to c…

Economic assessment of Eucalyptus (spp.) for biomass production as alternative crop in Southern Italy
2015
The increase in energy prices and the stagnation of sales prices of the main agricultural commodities required a rethinking of farm production strategies. Since during the last years, thanks to a series of policies aimed at promoting renewable sources it has been a rapid diffusion of lignocellulosic biomass species, this paper aimed at evaluating the economic feasibility of the introduction of eucalyptus (Eucalyptus spp.) as energy crop for farmers of Southern Italy, by comparing it with traditional crop rotations. In particular, economic analysis has been carried out in a representative case study located in the Sicilian hilly hinterland where, in 2013, it has been built a biomass plant fo…
Жанр комментария в творческом наследии Исмаила Гаспринского
2022
The article deals with the place of the commentary genre in the journalistic heritage of a Crimean Tatar journalist, publisher, and educator, Ismail Gasprinsky. The authors prove that the work of I. Gasprinsky reveals an inclination towards the “journalism of opinion”. One of the leading roles in it is played by the commentary genre, in which the editor and publisher of the Crimean Tatar newspaper, “Perevodchik-Terdzhiman”, expressed his attitude to the pressing problems of our time. The journalistic comments of I. Gasprinsky show us his views on politics, society, religion, education, economy, and journalism, and the variety of rhetorical devices used in the comments demonstrate his journa…
Salinity affects nitrate removal and microbial composition of denitrifying woodchip bioreactors treating recirculating aquaculture system effluents
2019
Abstract This study investigated the effect of salinity on microbial composition and denitrification capacity of woodchip bioreactors treating recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) effluents. Twelve laboratory-scale woodchip bioreactors were run in triplicates at 0, 15, 25, and 35 ppt salinities, and water chemistry was monitored every third day during the first 39 days of operation. Microbial communities of the woodchips bioreactors were analyzed at the start, after one week, and at the end of the trial. Woodchip bioreactors removed nitrate at all salinities tested. The highest NO3-N removal rate of 22.0 ± 6.9 g NO3-N/m3/d was obtained at 0 ppt, while 15.3 ± 4.9, 12.5 ± 5.4 and 11.8 ± 4.0…
Enhanced nitrogen removal of low carbon wastewater in denitrification bioreactors by utilizing industrial waste toward circular economy
2020
Aquaculture needs practical solutions for nutrient removal to achieve sustainable fish production. Passive denitrifying bioreactors may provide an ecological, low-cost and low-maintenance approach for wastewater nitrogen removal. However, innovative organic materials are needed to enhance nitrate removal from the low carbon effluents in intensive recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS). In this study, we tested three additional carbon sources, including biochar, dried Sphagnum sp. moss and industrial potato residues, to enhance the performance of woodchip bioreactors treating the low carbon RAS wastewater. We assessed nitrate (NO3−) removal and microbial community composition during a one-y…
Supporting student teachers’ reflection through assessment : The case of reflective podcasts
2023
Reflection is a key learning objective of teacher education, yet little is known about the ways in which it could be supported through assessment. In this case study (N = 14), we examine the potential of a novel assessment task—reflective podcasting—in supporting first-year student teachers’ reflection. We analyzed student group podcasts and corresponding student reflections and found that the task engendered reflection. Three theory-driven dimensions were constructed to emphasize the unique nature of podcasts for student reflection: experientiality, authenticity, and communality. We encourage factoring these dimensions into assessment designs that seek to foster student reflection. peerRev…
