Multiplicity results for asymmetric boundary value problems with indefinite weights

We prove existence and multiplicity of solutions, with prescribed nodal properties, to a boundary value problem of the formu″+f(t,u)=0,u(0)=u(T)=0. The nonlinearity is supposed to satisfy asymmetric, asymptotically linear assumptions involving indefinite weights. We first study some auxiliary half-linear, two-weighted problems for which an eigenvalue theory holds. Multiplicity is ensured by assumptions expressed in terms of weighted eigenvalues. The proof is developed in the framework of topological methods and is based on some relations between rotation numbers and weighted eigenvalues.

Objective This register-based study aims to evaluate the characteristics of clinical trials in rare diseases conducted in Latvia and compare them with clinical trials in more common conditions. Mismatch negativity (MMN) is a scalp-recorded electrical potential that occurs in humans in response to an auditory stimulus that defies previously established patterns of regularity. MMN amplitude is reduced in people with schizophrenia. In this study, we aimed to develop a robust and replicable rat model of MMN, as a platform for a more thorough understanding of the neurobiology underlying MMN. 566 positions and photometric observa- tions of NEO objects 2006 VB14 = Y5705 = 345705 and 1986 DA were obtained with Baldone Schmidt telescope in 2018 and 2019, to detecting rotation period and other physical characteristics. A Fourier transform was applied to determine the rotation period for asteroid 1986 DA=6178. Value 3.12 ± 0.02h was obtained. Observations confirm the previously obtained rotation period P = 3.25h for 2006 VB14.

Purpose: The Valencia HDR applicators are accessories of the microSelectron HDR afterloading system (Nucletron) shaped as truncated cones. The base of the cone is either 2 or 3 cm diameter. They are intended to treat skin lesions, being the typical prescription depth 3 mm. In patients with eyelid lesions, an internal shielding is very useful to reduce the dose to the ocular globe. DIETA DEL DELFÍN DE RISSO (GRAMPUS GRISEUS) EN EL MEDITERRÁNEO OCCIDENTAL. – Se ha analizado el contenido gastrointestinal de quince ejemplares de Grampus griseus varados en el Mediterráneo occidental entre 40º25’N 00º32’W y 37º35’N 00º45’E durante el período 1987 a 2003. Los resultados indican una dieta teutófaga, basada principalmente en cefalópodos oceánicos destacando los octópodos pelágicos, especialmente Argonauta argo, como la presa más abundante (media = 41,28%; SD±34,32). Algunas especies pertenecientes a las familias mmastrephidae, Histioteuthidae y Onychoteuthidae son también componentes frecuentes de la misma.
