The paper demonstrates the methodologic aspect of the Polish sociologic research on the Silesian region in the interwar period. Referring to pre-sociologic and sociologic research, it depicts the methodologic foundations and intellectual perspectives that were conceptualised by ludwik krzy-wicki and constitute the cognitive basis for the construction of the knowledge about Silesia – they are defined as the object analysis current and the subject analysis current. The early life environment can have profound, long‐lasting effects on an individual's fitness. For example, early life quality might (a) positively associate with fitness (a silver spoon effect), (b) stimulate a predictive adaptive response (by adjusting the phenotype to the quality of the environment to maximize fitness) or (c) be obscured by subsequent plasticity. Designing with sound is about constructing appropriate sound representations of a concept, from the early ideas to the final product. A survey research on embodied sound sketching is presented, and the problems of early representation in sound design are discussed by analysing the questionnaire results of three workshops on vocal sketching.

Thermodynamic and spectroscopic study of the binding of dimethyltin(IV) by citrate at 25°C

Thermodynamic (potentiometric and calorimetric) and spectroscopic ( 1 H NMR, 119 Sn Mossbauer) studies were performed in aqueous solution in order to characterize the interaction of dimethyltin(IV) cation with citrate ligand. Six species {(CH 3 ) 2 Sn(cit) - ; [(CH 3 ) 2 Sn] 2 (cit) 2 2- ; (CH 3 ) 2 Sn(cit)H 0 ; (CH 3 ) 2 Sn(cit)OH 2- ; [(CH 3 ) 2 Sn] 2 (cit)OH 0 ; [(CH 3 ) 2 Sn] 2 (cit)(OH) 2 - } were found. All the species formed in this system are quite stable and formation percentages are fairly high.
