This study explores mothers’ experiences of their children’s custody. The empirical data consists of twelve interviews with mothers with a child custody experience. Seven interviews were conducted twice, in years 2004 and 2008. The purpose of the dissertation is three-fold: 1) to clarify the construction of motherhood before and after the custody; 2) to define what kind of support the mothers received after the children had been placed outside home; and 3) to identify promotive and hindering factors for the empowerment of these mothers. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań dotyczących lęku jako aktualnego stanu bądź jako cechy osobowości, poziomu odczuwanego stresu oraz sposobów radzenia sobie z nim przez policjantów Wydziału Kryminalnego oraz Prewencji i Ruchu Drogowego. Założenia dotyczące celu badania wskazywały na wyższy poziom lęku i stresu u policjantów Wydziału Kryminalnego. Hipotezy te związane były z charakterem pracy mundurowych danego oddziału. This paper reports the results of an analysis of process wastewater streams in the context of an increase in yeast production. This research is based on the analysis of data from the biggest yeast factory in Europe. The research presented in this paper involves the analysis of the influence of direction of additional wastewater into the evaporator station on yeast production. In the process wastewater, nitrogen is mainly present in organic forms. Purpose To examine the associations between longitudinal physical activity (PA) patterns and the development of cardiometabolic risk factors from adolescence to young adulthood. Methods This cohort study encompassed 250 participants recruited from sports clubs and schools, and examined at mean age 15 and 19. Device-measured moderate-to-vigorous PA was grouped into five patterns (via a data-driven method, using inactivity maintainers as a reference). Interplay between the Belousov-Zhabotinsky reaction-diffusion system and biomimetic matrices

Abstract Interactions between reaction–diffusion systems and restricted host environments are a subject of widespread interest. In this work the behaviour of the Belousov–Zhabotinsky reaction was investigated in lamellar phases formed by phospholipid bilayers with relevance for biological systems. The influence of the reactive medium on the structure of the lipid matrix and, in turn, the influence of the matrix on the dynamical evolution of chemical patterns, were studied by small angle scattering.
