Environmental Voluntary Programs in the Transport Industry in the Post-COVID Situation: The French Experience

This study investigates the drivers impacting the success of the environmental voluntary program recently launched in France. This program, titled EVE (Engagements Volontaires pour l’Environnement), aims to improve transport operators’ efficiency and to reduce CO2 emissions in the environment. Due to the complexity of the context in which the EVE program is implemented, we used a System Dynamics (SD) approach. This study offers multiple contributions. Intergenerational Interaction and the Benefits of Ageing Employees in a Nursing Home

This chapter explores how ageing employees contribute to intergenerational interaction in an organization from the organizational aesthetics perspective. The data is obtained using interviews with professionals who work at a municipal nursing home designed for older people. Qualitative analysis methods were based on the aesthetic categories of ugliness and grace. As a result, I present a positive example of how ageing employees’ sensitivity and ability to create powerful stories supported the whole work community’s interaction and courage to act.

ResumenEl objetivo del presente estudio fue analizar el impacto percibido por parte de los alumnos como resultado de su participación en el programa de la Universidad de la Experiencia de la Universidad de La Rioja. La muestra estuvo formada por 83 alumnos de dicho programa. Al grupo de estudiantes se les aplicó un cuestionario diseñado ad hoc para evaluar potenciales resultados a diferentes niveles: general, educativo, social, afectivo, cognitivo, físico y afectividad negativa. Few studies evaluating baseline quality of life of those patients, its short term evolution and its prognosis value on patients' survival have been performed in the context of a population-based study. Dynamical Casimir-Polder force on a partially dressed atom near a conducting wall

We study the time evolution of the Casimir-Polder force acting on a neutral atom in front of a perfectly conducting plate, when the system starts its unitary evolution from a partially dressed state. We solve the Heisenberg equations for both atomic and field quantum operators, exploiting a series expansion with respect to the electric charge and an iterative technique. After discussing the behaviour of the time-dependent force on an initially partially-dressed atom, we analyze a possible experimental scheme to prepare the partially dressed state and the observability of this new dynamical effect.

Vaccination of the elderly is an important factor in limiting the impact of influenza in the com- munity. The aim of this study was to investigate the factors associated with influenza vacci- nation coverage in hospitalized patients aged 65 years hospitalized due to causes unrelated to influenza in Spain. We carried out a cross-sectional study. Bivariate analysis was performed comparing vaccinated and unvaccinated patients, taking in to account sociodemographic variables and medical risk conditions. Background: Treatment with radium-223 has been shown to increase survival and to delay skeletal events related to bone metastases of patients with metastatic Castration Resistant Prostate Cancer (mCRPC).
