Introducción: La encefalopatía hepática (EH) es un síndrome neuropsiquiátrico presente en pacientes con enfermedades hepáticas que conduce a diferentes alteraciones neurológicas que pueden llevar al coma y la muerte. Dentro de las manifestaciones neurológicas precoces de la enfermedad, están las alteraciones del sueño con una prevalencia casi del 50% en pacientes con cirrosis hepática sin evidencia clínica. The main inhibitory neurotransmitter receptor of the brain, the gamma-aminobutyric acid type A receptor (GABA[A]), mediates the actions of several classes of clinically important drugs, such as benzodiazepines, barbiturates and general anaesthetics. This review summarizes the current knowledge on how classical benzodiazepines and novel nonbenzodiazepine compounds act on the benzodiazepine site of GABA(A) receptors and on their clinical pharmacology related to anxiolytic, sedative, hypnotic and cognitive effects or side-effects. A chemically heterogeneous group of compounds acts at the benzodiazepine (BZ) recognition site of the γ-aminobutyric acid type A (GABAA) receptor complex. Whereas most 1,4-BZs recognize all GABAA/BZ receptors with similar affinity, other compounds differentiate between the large number of native GABAA receptors which assemble from the more than 14 known subunits. Here we describe the in vitro binding properties of the BZs lorazepam and Ro 15-4513 plus the three hypnotics zaleplon, zolpidem and zopiclone to eight receptors subtypes. International audience; GC-O using the detection frequency method gives a list of odor events (OEs) where each OE is described by a linear retention index (LRI) and by the aromatic descriptor given by a human assessor. The aim of the experimenter is to gather OEs in a total olfactogram on which he tries to delimit odorant areas (OAs), then to compute each detection frequency. This paper proposes a computerized mathematical method based on kernel density estimation that makes up the total olfactogram as continuous and differentiable function from the OEs LRI only. Cette étude aborde le type de production " populaire " ou " paralittéraire " que constituent les pliegos de cordel afin de souligner les liens étroits et nombreux que ce type de textes et leurs interprètes (des aveugles qui semblent surgir des pages du Lazarillo de Tormes) entretiennent avec la matière picaresque. L'analyse vise à démontrer que nombre de poèmes ou récits en prose édités sur ce support précaire confinent au picaresque de par leur thématique truculente ou leur atmosphère fictionnelle apicarada.
