Możliwości energetycznego wykorzystania biomasy mikroalg

Niniejsze opracowanie przedstawia możliwości zastosowania mikroalg do produkcji biopaliw III generacji - biodiesla, bioetanolu i biowodoru. Opisano parametry - CO2, temperatura, pH, światło i inne - zapewniające optymalne warunki hodowli mikroalg w fotobioreaktorach. Dokonano charakterystyki fotobioreaktorów, pod kątem ich przydatności do hodowli mikroalg na cele energetyczne. Przedstawiono metody termochemicznego i biochemicznego przetwarzania biomasy glonów stosowane do produkcji poszczególnych biopaliw.

Microwave-assisted conversion of novel biomass materials into levulinic acid

Levulinic acid is considered one of the most important platform chemicals. It is currently produced mainly from lignocellulosic biomasses. However, there are also other abundant biomass materials, which could be used as raw materials for levulinic acid production. In this work, levulinic acid was produced from two novel biomasses in the presence of Brønsted (H2SO4) and Lewis acid (CrCl3·6H2O or AlCl3·6H2O) catalysts. The studied materials were carbohydrate-rich potato peel waste and sporocarps of the fungus Cortinarius armillatus. During the second Saharan Mineral Dust Experiment (SAMUM-2) field campaign, particles with geometric diameters (d) between ∼0.1 and 25 μm were collected on board of the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (German Aerospace Center, DLR) Falcon aircraft. Size, chemical composition and mixing state of aerosols sampled (spatially and vertically resolved) along the West African coastline and in the Cape Verde Islands region were determined by electron microscopy. Coral communities around the world are projected to be negatively affected by ocean acidification. Not all coral species will respond in the same manner to rising CO2 levels. Lai arī centrētības lūgšana tiek pozicionēta kā kristīga, tomēr tās prakses un teoloģijas formulējumi raisa jautājumus par iespējamo mijiedarbību ar Austrumu reliģijām. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt un noskaidrot, vai centrētības lūgšanas prakse un teoloģija kristietībā ienes kontrastējošus elementus no budisma un hinduisma meditācijas praksēm un reliģiskajām mācībām. Onomastic literacy (the skills needed to interpret the cultural and social phenomena and meanings related to name-giving) are part of a person’s cultural capital. I use this concept, which I have developed, to study personal names in family networks and in royal families in particular. This research combines the approaches and methodologies of collective biography, microhistory and the history of mentalities. Post-synovectomy changes in the articular cartilage

Synovectomy of the left knee was performed in 37 immature rabbits, using the right knee for control. In the first set of experiments the articular cartilage was examined at weekly intervals for 8 weeks following the operation, paying particular attention to the metachromatic changes in the ground substance of the cartilage. In the second set of experiments, restoration of synovium was examined. In the third and fourth set of experiments, the uptake of S35 by the cartilage was assessed using autoradiography and densitometry. In the fifth set of experiments, alterations in S35 uptake by the chondrocitic cells of the cartilage were studied by electron microscopy.
