Das partielle spezifische Volumen von m.m′-Ditolyl in Toluol wurde durch Dichtemessungen uber den gesamten Konzentrationsbereich bei 25°C bestimmt. Das hieraus berechnete molare Uberschusvolumen betragt −0,21 cm3/Mol bei einem Volumenbruch von 0,5. Die partiellen spezifischen Volumina von Oligomeren des m.m′-Ditolyls wurden in einem niedrigen Konzentrationsbereich in Toluol, Benzol und Trichlorathylen bei 25°C bestimmt. Sie sind in erster Naherung dem Molekulargewicht umgekehrt proportional. A flexible, highly sensitive sensor of oxygen in non-aqueous solvents is described. It consists of CdSe/ZnS nanoparticles decorated with a considerable number of pyrene units, thus making the formation of the pyrene excimer possible. The emission of the pyrene excimer and that of the nanoparticle are suitably separated from each other and also from the excitation wavelength. This sensor can be applied as a ratiometric oxygen sensor by using the linear response of the pyrene excimer lifetime combined with the linear response of the nanoparticle excited state lifetime. Mūsdienās aizvien ir aktuāla morālā kaitējuma kompensācijas noteikšana kriminālprocesā, it sevišķi tāpēc, ka morālam kaitējumam nepastāv precīzi nosakāms naudas ekvivalents. Darba mērķis ir izveidot universālu, ilgspējīgu morālā kaitējuma noteikšanas koncepciju, skaidri noteikt kritērijus, kuri tiesnešiem jāņem vērā, lemjot par kaitējuma kompensācijas apmēru, turklāt izpētīt arī praktiskos jautājumus, kas saistās ar kompensācijas pieteikšanu. Pētījuma rezultātā izstrādāta ilgspējīga morālā kaitējuma koncepcija, kurā noteikti rekomendējoši, taču aptuveni kompensācijas piešķiršanas apmēri, kā arī piedāvāti vairāki Kriminālprocesa likuma grozījumi.

The correlation between liver stiffness, measured by transient elastography, liver fibrosis, using the histological METAVIR score, and iron overload, measured by atomic absorption spectrometry was evaluated in 56 homozygous-b-thalassaemics. Liver stiffness increased proportionally to liver fibrosis staging (r = 0Æ70; P > 0Æ001) independently of liver iron concentration (r = 0Æ01; P = 0Æ932). The area under the receiver-operating characteristic curve for prediction of cirrhosis was 0Æ997 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0Æ925–1Æ000) with cut-off of 13 kPa with 100% sensitivity (95% CI: 69Æ0–100Æ0) and 95% specificity (95% CI: 84Æ2–99Æ3).
