Projecte d'investigació-acció: Violència escolar i integració social

En aquest treball es presenta el Projecte d'Investigació-Acció realitzat pel grup Lisis de la Universitat de València. Des del model ecològic, l'interès està a analitzar i prevenir la conducta violenta entre iguals a l'escola. Per a això s'ha aplicat en una mostra de 1319 adolescents d'edats compreses entre els 11 i els 16 anys una bateria d'instruments. En aquest article s'exposa, a tall d'exemple, un dels models d'equacions estructurals calculats en aquesta investigació. En concret s'analitza l'efecte directe i l'indirecte del clima familiar en la conducta violenta entre iguals i en el context escolar.

Background: Long Non-coding RNAs (lncRNA) are emerging as essential regulators of genetic and epigenetic networks, and their deregulation may underlie complex diseases, such as carcinogenesis. Several studies have described lncRNAs alterations in patients with solid tumors. In particular, in Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST), upregulation of HOTAIR has been associated with aggressiveness, metastasis, and poor patients’ survival. The aim of this two‐year longitudinal study was to investigate the role and impact of prior mathematics performance, cognitive appraisals and mathematics‐specific, affective anxiety in determining later mathematics achievement and future career orientation among Finnish adolescents. Resolving the Fundamentals of Magnetotransport in Metals with Ultrafast Terahertz Spectroscopy

Using terahertz spectroscopy we directly resolved the fundamentals of spin-dependent conductivity in ferromagnetic metals. We quantified the differences in conduction by Fermi-level electrons with opposite spins on the sub-100 fs timescale of electron momentum scattering.

Hall effect and electronic structure of films

Abstract Tunneling experiments have shown that in order to retain half-metallicity at room temperature not only a large gap is required but also a Fermi energy considerably distant from the minority band edges. We correlate the position of the Fermi energy in the spin minority gap obtained from band structure calculations to Hall effect experiments. As a model system we chose Co 2 Fe x Mn 1 - x Si , where the Fermi energy was calculated to move from the valence band edge of the minority states to the conduction band edge with increasing x . Topological quantum matter and spintronics research have been developed to a large extent independently. In this Review we discuss a new role that the antiferromagnetic order has taken in combining topological matter and spintronics. This occurs due to the complex microscopic symmetries present in antiferromagnets that allow, e.g., for topological relativistic quasiparticles and the newly discovered N\'{e}el spin-orbit torques to coexist. We first introduce the concepts of topological semimetals and spin-orbitronics. Predicting children's mathematical performance in grade one by early numeracy

Abstract This longitudinal study examined how children's early numeracy assessed in kindergarten predicts their mathematical performance in the first grade, after controlling for the effects of age, gender, and parents' education. The participants were 212 Finnish children (107 girls and 105 boys). At the time of the first assessment (kindergarten), the mean age was six years, and the second assessment was conducted one year later.
