Yhteistyöstä ja kilpailukyvystä puhutaan paljon niin taloustieteellisessä kuin yleisessäkin keskustelussa. In this article, the research topic is to develop an evaluation model for social work with substance abusers. It is studied by presenting an example of how the evaluation process could be carried out in practice. The study has been implemented with the Department of Social Services and Health Care’s Centre for Recovering Substance Abusers in Finland (RSA Centre). Musiikki- ja kirjallisuusterapiaa yhdistävä pilottihanke toteutettiin Eino Roiha Säätiön ja Irti Huumeista ry:n yhteistyönä vuonna 2013. Kurssi oli tarkoitettu huumeita käyttävien nuorten vanhemmille ja sitä markkinointiin Irti Huumeista ry:n läheisryhmän jäsenille. Kurssille osallistui viisi keski-ikäistä naista, joilla kaikilla oli huumeita käyttävä aikuinen tai teini-ikäinen poika. Vertex corrections for positive-definite spectral functions of simple metals

We present a systematic study of vertex corrections in the homogeneous electron gas at metallic densities. The vertex diagrams are built using a recently proposed positive-definite diagrammatic expansion for the spectral function. The vertex function not only provides corrections to the well known plasmon and particle-hole scatterings, but also gives rise to new physical processes such as generation of two plasmon excitations or the decay of the one-particle state into a two-particles-one-hole state. By an efficient Monte Carlo momentum integration we are able to show that the additional scattering channels are responsible for the bandwidth reduction observed in photoemission experiments on…

This study explores how students deal with material resources in their peer interaction when working in pairs in an open-ended problem-solving task. The productive use of material resources can be expected to support successful peer work. However, research into social phenomena in peer interaction is needed in order to identify and describe productive and less productive forms of dealing with material resources as students participate in open-ended problem-solving tasks.
