Aim of this paper was identify accessions of pomegranate with high anthocyanins and polyphenols content and correlate their values with antioxidant activity. Anthocyanin’s profile was determined by HPLC-DAD. Antioxidant activity was measured by fluorimetric assay and expressed by ORAC value. Results obtained was correlated and analyzed to find best accession.

Sedentary and mobile organisms grow profusely on hard substrates within the coastal zone and contribute to the deterioration of coastal engineering structures and the geomorphic evolution of rocky shores by both enhancing and retarding weathering and erosion. There is a lack of quantitative evidence for the direction and magnitude of these effects. Influenza della Morfologia Funzionale della Valvola Aortica sull'Emodinamica di Pazienti con Aneurisma Toracico dell'Aorta Ascendente

Il presente lavoro si propone di studiare le differenze emodinamiche e i carichi di parete che si sviluppano in pazienti con aneurisma toracico dell'aorta ascendente (ATAA) con differente morfologia della valvola aortica. Sono stati identificati 5 pazienti con ATAA sottoposti a scansione TC per il controllo del diametro dell'aneurisma presso l'Istituto Mediterraneo per i Trapianti e Terapie ad Alta Specializzazione. In particolare, tre pazienti presentano valvola aortica di tipo tricuspide(TAV) mentre due valvola aortica di tipo bicuspide (BAV) generalmente associata alla formazione di ATAA.
