The 2010/2011 report was produced under the auspices of the national research programme „National Identity”. The job of the report is to survey the content of individual national belonging in the context of human development. The report particularly focuses on emigration issues, because human development is weakened by a reduction in the size of the country’s population. Bakalaura darbs “Jauniešu jeb “Gen Z” dzīves reprezentācija drāmas seriālā “Viss Norm” ir veltīts “Gen Z” paaudzes izpētei. Darba teorētiskajā daļā aplūkota teorētiskā literatūra, kura skaidro reprezentāciju, popkultūru jeb populāro kultūru, jauniešu kultūras raksturīgās iezīmes, kā arī paaudžu iedalījumus. Metodoloģijas daļā aprakstītas pētījumā izmantotās metodes: kontentanalīze, daļēji strukturētā intervija un fokusgrupas intervija. Darbs sastāv no 58 lappusēm un 4 pielikumiem. <p>En los últimos años la violencia de género se ha convertido en un problema social de primera magnitud, cobrando especial atención los medios de comunicación por su responsabilidad en la construcción de realidades sociales. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar el tratamiento informativo de la violencia de género y su papel en la construcción de marcos de interpretación que dotan de significado el concepto de violencia de género. Para ello, se ha aplicado el análisis crítico del discurso a las noticias de cuatro televisiones del Estado español en la semana alrededor del Día Internacional contra la Violencia de Género de 2010.</p>

Affective matching of odors and facial expressions in infants: shifting patterns between 3 and 7 months.

Recognition of emotional facial expressions is a crucial skill for adaptive behavior. Past research suggests that at 5 to 7 months of age, infants look longer to an unfamiliar dynamic angry/happy face which emotionally matches a vocal expression. This suggests that they can match stimulations of distinct modalities on their emotional content. In the present study, olfaction-vision matching abilities were assessed across different age groups (3, 5 and 7 months) using dynamic expressive faces (happy vs. disgusted) and distinct hedonic odor contexts (pleasant, unpleasant and control) in a visual-preference paradigm.
