Tutkimuksessa selvitän systemaattisen kirjallisuuskatsauksen avulla, miten nuorten kokemuksia lastensuojelusta on aikaisemmin tutkittu sekä millaisia kokemuksia nuorilla on lastensuojelusta ja osallisuudesta lastensuojelussa aikaisempien kansainvälisten tutkimusten perusteella. Tutkimuksessani olen halunnut keskittyä lastensuojelussa asiakkaina oleviin nuoriin. Nuoret ovat lastensuojelun tilastojen mukaan merkittävä asiakasryhmä. Heidän kanssaan työskentelyä pidetään usein kuitenkin haastavana eikä nuoria ole helppo tavoittaa lastensuojelun työskentelytavoilla. Production of marketed commodities and protection of biodiversity in natural systems often conflict and thus the continuously expanding human needs for more goods and benefits from global ecosystems urgently calls for strategies to resolve this conflict. In this paper, we addressed what is the potential of a forest landscape to simultaneously produce habitats for species and economic returns, and how the conflict between habitat availability and timber production varies among taxa. Semi-automatic literature mapping of participatory design studies 2006--2016

The paper presents a process of semi-automatic literature mapping of a comprehensive set of participatory design studies between 2006--2016. The data of 2939 abstracts were collected from 14 academic search engines and databases. With the presented method, we were able to identify six education-related clusters of PD articles. Furthermore, we point out that the identified clusters cover the majority of education-related words in the whole data. This is the first attempt to systematically map the participatory design literature. We argue that by continuing our work, we can help to perceive a coherent structure in the body of PD research.
A DFT Study of Linear Gold–Thiolate Superclusters Absorbing in the Therapeutic NIR Window

A series of linear clusters up to an aspect ratio of 1:6, formed as multimers of smaller clusters with an icosahedral Au13(5+) core having an eight-electron superatom configuration, are computationally predicted to have a greatly enhanced size-dependent absorption in the near-infrared (NIR) region extending to the biologically important NIR window. A novel structural model is presented for the previously isolated thiol-stabilized Au54(SR)30 cluster, where the metal core is formed as a heterodimer of the cores of the known Au25(SR)18(-/0) and Au38(SR)24 clusters.
Agricultural potential of anaerobically digested industrial orange waste with and without aerobic posttreatment

The potential of anaerobically digested orange waste with (AAD) and without (AD) aerobic post-treatment for use in agriculture was evaluated through chemical analyses, short-term phytotoxicity and long-term plant assays. Chemical analyses showed that AD contained ammonia and organic acids, and aerobic post-treatment did not significantly remove these phytotoxins. The N:P2O5:K2O ratio in AD was 1:0.26:0.96 and aerobic post-treatment did not change the composition in AAD except for K2O (1:0.26:1.24). Abstract The intracellular and cell surface composition and structural features of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria were identified using near-infrared surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). The structural differences of components that reside in the cell envelope are manifested by their SERS spectra, e.g. gram-negative vs. gram-positive. Silver particles were used as a SERS substrate by exploiting the existence of strong local electromagnetic fields (hot spots) within nanoscale aggregates of the particles. The regionalization of national input-output tables : A study of South Korean regions

This paper uses survey‐based data for 16 South Korean regions to refine the application of Flegg's location quotient (FLQ) and its variant, the sector‐specific FLQ (SFLQ). These regions vary markedly in terms of size. Especial attention is paid to the problem of choosing appropriate values for the unknown parameter δ in these formulae. Alternative approaches to this problem are evaluated and tested. Our paper adds to earlier research that aims to find a cost‐effective way of adapting national coefficients, so as to produce a satisfactory initial set of regional input coefficients for regions where survey‐based data are unavailable. Does corn market uncertainty impact the US ethanol prices?

The growing interest in biofuel as a green energy source has intensified the linkages between corn and ethanol markets, especially in the United States that represents the largest producing and exporting country for ethanol in the world. In this study, we examine the effect of corn market uncertainty on the price changes of US ethanol applying a set of GARCH-jump models. We find that the US ethanol price changes react positively to the corn market volatility shocks after controlling for the effect of oil price uncertainty. Opinnäytetyö käsittelee Turun Sanomissa käytyä keskustelua taiteilijoiden työhuoneista ennen Euroopan kulttuuripääkaupunkivuotta 2011. Pääaineisto koskee vuosia 2006–2008. Tuona aikana taiteilijat menettivät pitkään työtiloina toimineen Jokikadun kiinteistön ja joutuivat odottamaan pitkään vastaavia tiloja. Taiteilijat ylläpitivät keskustelua ja peräänkuuluttivat oikeuksiaan työtiloihin. Samaan aikaan vaihtoehtotaiteilijat järjestivät alakulttuuritapahtumia ja talonvaltauksia.
