Japānas daudzpusējās attiecības ar ASEAN: proaktīvas ārpolitikas tendences
2016
Maģistra darbs „Japānas daudzpusējās attiecības ar ASEAN: proaktīvas ārpolitikas tendences” ir veltīts Japānas proaktīvās ārpolitikas izpētei daudzpusējās attiecībās ar ASEAN, uzsverot Japānas un ASEAN sadarbības stratēģisko nozīmību Japānas nacionālo interešu sasniegšanai. Darbs sastāv no četrām daļām. Pirmajā daļā tiek iezīmētas Japānas ārpolitikas pamattendences; otrajā daļā tiek analizēts Kenta Kaldera Japānas kā reaktīvas valsts modelis; trešajā daļā tiek apskatīti Japānas proaktīvās ārpolitikas piemēri ASEAN reģionā; ceturtajā nodaļā tiek analizēti iemesli, kādēļ Japānai aktuāla ir bijusi tieši daudzpusējā sadarbība ar reģiona valstīm un kā izpaužas Japānas līderība. Darba apjoms ir 6…
New York regulatory response to virtual currency risks
2021
Resonant Beam Steering and Carpet Cloaking Using an Acoustic Transformational Metascreen
2018
International audience; We invoke the Huygens principle to derive dispersion characteristics of acoustic transformational meta-surfaces that can deflect parallel wavefronts in a desired direction. We also propose a dual-Lorentz resonator whose aperture fields can be tuned by geometrical changes to implement a particular phase with unity reflection coefficient. The proposed metascreen is designed by our arranging slightly detuned Lorentz cavities that generate the necessary interference to compensate for the incident wavefronts. Since a complete 0-2 pi range of the reflection phase is achieved, the metascreen can steer a beam across the full horizon. Moreover, since the proposed dual resonat…
Synthesis, X-ray Structure, Antimicrobial and Anticancer Activity of a Novel [Ag(ethyl-3-quinolate)2(citrate)] Complex
2022
A novel Ag(I) citrate complex with ethyl-3-quinolate (Et3qu) was synthesized. Its structure was confirmed using X-ray single crystal to be [Ag(Et3qu)2(citrate)]. It crystallized in the Triclinic crystal system and P-1 space group with unit cell parameters of a = 8.6475(2) Å, b = 11.4426(3) Å, c = 15.2256(3) Å, α = 73.636(2)°, β = 79.692(2)° and γ = 86.832(2)°, while the unit cell volume was 1422.19(6) Å3. In the unit cell, there are two [Ag(Et3qu)2(citrate)] molecules and one unit as the asymmetric formula. The molecular structure comprised one Ag(I) coordinated with two Et3qu molecules via two almost equidistant Ag-N bonds and one citrate ion acting as a mono-negative monodentate ligand vi…
A HS-SPME-GC-MS analysis of IR heated wood: Impact of the water content on the depth profile of oak wood aromas extractability
2013
http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0963996913003736; International audience; Controlled and reproducible IR heat treatments were applied to oak wood surfaces in order to establish a depth-profiled picture of the extractability of volatile compounds, with particular emphasis on the impact of the initial water content. Headspace-solid phase microextraction-gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (HS-SPME-GC-MS) has been used to compare the concentrations of six aroma compounds (vanillin, furfural, eugenol; guaiacol and cis- and trans-whisky lactones) in hydroalcoholic extracts of series of slices representative of the first 8 mm of the wood facing the IR source. Results…
Dry vs soaked wood: Modulating the volatile extractible fraction of oak wood by heat treatments
2012
The aim of this study was to analyze the impact of the water content of wood on the concentrations of volatile compounds which can be extracted after heat treatments. Head Space-Solid Phase Micro Extraction Gas Chromatography coupled to Mass Spectrometry (HS-SPME GC-MS) has been used to compare the concentrations of six aroma compounds (vanillin, furfural, eugenol, guaiacol and cis- and trans-whisky lactones) in hydroalcoholic extracts of heated oak wood samples either previously soaked in hot water or not. Except for eugenol, concentrations of extracted aromas appeared to be lower in soaked woods than in dry woods for temperatures up to 200 °C. If a delaying effect of water could explain s…
Prospects for advanced electron cyclotron resonance and electron beam ion source charge breeding methods for EURISOL
2011
International audience; As the most ambitious concept of isotope separation on line (ISOL) facility, EURISOL aims at producing unprecedented intensities of post-accelerated radioactive isotopes. Charge breeding, which transforms the charge state of radioactive beams from 1+ to an n+ charge state prior to postacceleration, is a key technology which has to overcome the following challenges: high charge states for high energies, efficiency, rapidity and purity. On the roadmap to EURISOL, a dedicated R&D is being undertaken to push forward the frontiers of the present state-of-the-art techniques which use either electron cyclotron resonance or electron beam ion sources. We describe here the gui…
Superallowed α Decay to Doubly Magic 100Sn
2018
We report the first observation of the 108Xe→104Te→100Sn α-decay chain. The α emitters, 108Xe [Eα=4.4(2) MeV, T1/2=58+106−23 μs] and 104Te [Eα=4.9(2) MeV, T1/2<18 ns], decaying into doubly magic 100Sn were produced using a fusion-evaporation reaction 54Fe(58Ni,4n)108Xe, and identified with a recoil mass separator and an implantation-decay correlation technique. This is the first time α radioactivity has been observed to a heavy self-conjugate nucleus. A previous benchmark for study of this fundamental decay mode has been the decay of 212Po into doubly magic 208Pb. Enhanced proton-neutron interactions in the N=Z parent nuclei may result in superallowed α decays with reduced α-decay wi…
Oxidative DNA cleavage mediated by a new unexpected [Pd(BAPP)][PdCl4] complex (BAPP = 1,4-bis(3-aminopropyl)piperazine): crystal structure, DNA bindi…
2022
A novel Pd(II) double complex, [Pd(BAPP)][PdCl4], containing the 1,4-bis(3-aminopropyl)piperazine (BAPP) ligand is investigated. X-ray crystallography of a single crystal confirmed the structure of the [Pd(BAPP)][PdCl4] complex. The spectroscopic behavior was also elucidated using elemental analysis, nuclear magnetic resonance and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry. The antimicrobial susceptibility of the [Pd(BAPP)][PdCl4] complex against all tested microbial strains was lower than that of the BAPP ligand except for C. albicans. The cytotoxic impacts of the BAPP ligand and its [Pd(BAPP)][PdCl4] complex were evaluated in vitro for HepG2, CaCo-2 and MCF7 cell lines…
