Este artículo describe los resultados de la aplicación de metaversos como herramienta de enseñanza en el ámbito jurídico. La actividad pedagógica realizada se ha llevado a cabo a través de la simulación de un juicio virtual en Second Life. The doodle of a finitely determined map germ from R2 to R3
AbstractLet f:U⊂R2→R3 be a representative of a finitely determined map germ f:(R2,0)→(R3,0). Consider the curve obtained as the intersection of the image of the mapping f with a sufficiently small sphere Sϵ2 centered at the origin in R3, call this curve the associated doodle of the map germ f. For a large class of map germs the associated doodle has many transversal self-intersections. The topological classification of such map germs is considered from the point of view of the associated doodles.

Populārāko skolvadības sistēmu salīdzinājums un ieviešana vispārizglītojošā skolā Latvijā

Darbā tika pētītas dažādas skolvadības sistēmas un to popularitāte Latvijā. Tika aplūkotas vairākas skolvadības sistēmas definīcijas. Tika apskatītas konkrētas sistēmas Moodle, E-klase, ĢIS un Mykoob. Tika aplūkota labās prakses piemēru kopa, kas jāievēro, veidojot skolvadības sistēmas. Praktiskajā daļā tika ieinstalēta un praksē pārbaudīta Moodle sistēma vispārizglītojošā skolā. Tika izpētīti Moodle sistēmas uzturēšanas un ieviešanas dažādi aspekti. Rezultātā tika iegūta autora izveidota labās prakses piemēru kopa skolvadības sistēmas ieviešanai skolā, balstoties uz Moodle sistēmas ieviešanas piemēra.
Use of large Acacia trees by the cavity dwelling Black-tailed Tree Rat in the Southern Kalahari

Recent extensive harvesting of large, often dead Acacia trees in arid savanna of southern Africa is cause for concern about the conservation status of the arid savanna and its animal community. We mapped vegetation and nests of the Black-tailed Tree Rat Thallomys nigricauda to assess the extent to which the rats depend on particular tree species and on the existence of dead, standing trees. The study was conducted in continuous Acacia woodland on the southern and eastern edge of the Kalahari, South Africa. Is activated hemocyanin instead of phenoloxidase involved in immune response in woodlice?

In the Common woodlouse Porcellio scaber (Crustacea: Isopoda: Oniscidea), experimental immune challenge did not induce the expression of pro-phenoloxidase that, in most other invertebrates studied thus far, can be activated into phenoloxidase via an activation cascade upon immune challenge. Instead, Porcellio hemocyanin proved to exhibit catecholoxidase activity upon activation. However, none of the activating factors known from other invertebrates other than SDS-treatment resulted in activation of hemocyanin into a functional phenoloxidase in vitro. Impact of students’ performance in the continuous assesment methodology through Moodle on the final exam

[EN] This paper looks into the different evolution of students’ online questionnaire performance and its impact on the final examination mark. This innovative technique has been used in a group of an introductory financial accounting course with 8 online questionnaires (one per unit) in the Moodle platform. Using cluster analysis, we identify different groups of performance evolution. The evidence obtained suggests that in one of this groups a favourable test performance evolution may lead to overconfidence with the subsequent negative effect on the final examination mark. Abstract The purpose of this paper is to present the results of Moodle questionnaires in an introductory Accounting Course taught in the University of Valencia. This learning platform is new for our University so there is a need to create new resources and plan how to use them in the continuous assessment system. The teacher developed eight questionnaires and assigned 10% of the final mark to the performance of students in these questionnaires.
