Los materiales basados en el circonio presentan un especial interés como recubrimientos para barrera térmica debido a su baja conductividad térmica, sus buenas propiedades mecánicas y su alta estabilidad química. Estas barreras térmicas se utilizan en motores diesel y en turbinas empleadas en el sector transporte y en distintas industrias, como la aeroespacial y la eléctrica. Existen distintas formas de mejorar las propiedades de estos materiales cuando se usan como barreras térmicas. Adenilāta dezamināze (AMPD) ir glikoproteīns, kas ir dabisks sēņu izcelsmes imūnmodulators. To producē mikroskopiska sēnīte Penicillium lanoso - viride. Iepriekšējie pētījumi parādīja, ka attīrīts imūnmodulators AMPD uzrāda in vitro un in vivo aktivitāti, tai skaitā pozitīvu ietekmi uz brūču dzīšanu grauzējiem. Maģistra darba pētījumā tika izvērtēta ietekme uz citokīnu, limfocītu, neitrofilu un temperatūras izmaiņām pēc AMPD lielu devu i.v. ievadīšanas ICR peļu tēviņiem. Iegūtie rezultāti norāda uz AMPD īslaicīgu imūnstimulējošo iedarbību, pastiprināti inducējot citokīnu sekrēciju, limfocītu un neitrofilu skaita izmaiņas 4h pēc AMPD i.v. ievadīšanas pelēm. This chapter presents an exploratory analysis of discursive strategies through which Europe and Europeans are represented, focusing on how their images are profiled in the texts of the British conservative newspaper Daily Telegraph, a quality newspaper ranked as one of the three most widely read in the UK throughout the 2000s. Gain of function mutations in the H3K27 methyltransferase EZH2 represent a promising therapeutic target in germinal center lymphomas. In this study, we assessed the frequency and distribution of EZH2 mutations in a large cohort of patients with follicular lymphoma (FL) (n = 366) and performed a longitudinal analysis of mutation during the disease progression from FL to transformed FL (tFL) (n = 33). Mutations were detected at 3 recurrent mutation hot spots (Y646, A682, and A692) in 27% of FL cases with variant allele frequencies (VAF) ranging from 2% to 61%. In recent years, agricultural and industrial residues have attracted a lot of interest in the recovery of phytochemicals used in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries. In this paper, a study on the recovery of phenol compounds from Lycium spp. leaves is presented. Ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE) and microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) have been used with alcoholic and hydroalcoholic solvents. Methanolic UAE was the most successful technique for extracting phenols from Lycium leaves, and we used on leaves from L. barbarum and L. chinense cultivated in Italy. In this thesis we present bioinformatic tools and algorithms for the analysis of genomic data such as those generated by microarray devices or next generation sequencing techniques. Particularly, we develop new approaches to gene set analysis. The described procedures should be useful in practice to tackle complex biological experiments, but hopefully will also be methodologically relevant, as they introduce new ways of conceptualizing genomic functional profiling. Our very flexible approach allows for the inclusion of not just one kind of genomic measurement but many.
