Controllers’ role in managerial sensemaking and information trust building in a business intelligence environment

This study explores how an organization’s controllers (management accountants) give sense to the information provided by its business intelligence (BI) system, and thus shape the construction of information trust. A qualitative case study was conducted within a Finnish food manufacturing company, building on the notion of trust related to management accounting information and sensemaking theory. The study was informed through open-ended interviews and an examination of internal accounting and management reports. Mobile platform for multimodal skin assessment has been developed. Different illumination sources allow switching between modalities. Diffuse reflectance spectral imaging is provided by five LEDs, fluorescence is excited by 405 nm LEDs, and laser speckle by 650 nm laser diode. Stereoscopic Viewing Enhances Visually Induced Motion Sickness but Sound Does Not

Optic flow in visual displays or virtual environments often induces motion sickness (MS). We conducted two studies to analyze the effects of stereopsis, background sound, and realism (video vs. simulation) on the severity of MS and related feelings of immersion and vection. In Experiment 1, 79 participants watched either a 15-min-long video clip taken during a real roller coaster ride, or a precise simulation of the same ride. The role of the cardiovascular regulatory mechanism in patients with neuromediate syncope (NS) is poorly understood. The aim of this study was to accomplish continuous non-invasive analysis of the baroreflex mechanism in patients during a head-tip tilt-table test (HTT) using an open-loop autoregressive model with exogenous input. The model describes the causal dependence of the RR interval on the systolic arterial pressure (SAP) variability. Existen múltiples estrategias para atajar el daño muscular pero el comportamiento a nivel metabólico de algunas de ellas no ha sido descrito.
