Early allograft dysfunction (EAD) dramatically influences graft and patient outcomes. A lack of consensus on an EAD definition hinders comparisons of liver transplant outcomes and management of recipients among and within centers. We sought to develop a model for the quantitative assessment of early allograft function [Model for Early Allograft Function Scoring (MEAF)] after transplantation. The reasons of its occurrence and its particular characteristics remain unknown, resulting from complex phenomena interaction. From these interactions emerges Complex Fractionated Atrial Electrograms (CFAE) which are useful for the ablation procedure. This study presents a method based on nonlinear data analysis, the Recurrence Quantification Analysis (RQA) applied on intracardiac atrial electrograms to detect CFAE particularities. Screening of the known candidate genes involved in thyroid organogenesis has revealed mutations in a small subset of patients with congenital hypothyroidism due to thyroid dysgenesis (TD).We studied a girl with TD who had mutations in two transcription factors involved in thyroid development.Sequencing analysis of candidate genes involved in thyroid gland development revealed a new paternally inherited heterozygous mutation in the NKX2.5 gene (S265R) and a new maternally inherited heterozygous mutation in the PAX8 promoter region (-456CT). This study includes secondary analyses of data and examined drop-out rates in an online guided self-help intervention for patients with anorexia nervosa. Specifically, rates of drop-out at end of treatment (i.e., 6 weeks assessment), as well as intervention adherence (minimum of four of six online guided sessions) and differences between completers and drop-outs were examined. Denne artikkelen dreier seg om hva som skjedde da kirker og menigheter byttet kirkerommet med det digitale rom som følge av korona-pandemien. Det ble holdt gudstjenester og til og med «servert» kirkekaffe på nett. Artikkelen bygger på en undersøkelse som viser at 72 % av norske kirker og menigheter produserte nettbaserte samlinger under koronakrisen. 749 kirkeledere i hele Norge har deltatt i den omfattende kartleggingen som fant sted fra 15. april til 10. mai 2020. Recently, nonlinear optics at the nanoscale level has emerged as a promising branch of nanophotonics. In this work, we focus our attention on Aluminum Gallium Arsenide (AlGaAs) nanoantennas and metasurfaces for efficient and controlled second harmonic photon emission. After a brief introduction concerning the main studies in this field, we present the latest results achieved in AlGaAs platforms both in the lossless and absorption regimes.
