Nazwa własna a nazwa pospolita – dylematy z pogranicza chrematonimii

<p>Przedmiotem artykułu są nazwy produktów cukierniczych, które jako chrematonimy sytuują się na pograniczu nazw własnych. Materiał wyekscerpowany został z różnych blogów kulinarnych, dostępnych w latach 2017–2018. Cel rozważań to odpowiedź na pytania z zakresu onomastyki, gdzie jest granica między nazwą własną a pospolitą i czy jest możliwe precyzyjne jej wyznaczenie. Analiza semantyczna onimów, określenie ich funkcji (marketingowo-perswazyjnej) i testy gramatyczne (test orzecznikowy i zaimkowy), którym poddano poszczególne jednostki, prowadzą do podziału nazw produktów na trzy grupy: nazwy pospolite, nazwy pospolite z członem dyferencjalnym i nazwy własne. Resum: El present treball consisteix en l’edició filològica d’un text de 1643 i en el seu estudi onomàstic i lingüístic. El document recull una sèrie de declaracions sobre el dret ancestral de la ciutat d’Oriola a l’ús comercial del tram de costa que pertany al seu terme; és resultat d’un contenciós amb la ciutat d’Alacant, que nega a Oriola el dret a usar la seua façana marítima amb tal objectiu. La referència a les torres de vigilància que existien en el fragment de costa referit dóna una informació interessant sobre els topònims que hi havia, dels quals se’n pot seguir l’evolució fins al dia de hui. Throughout the twenty volumes of his monumental novel series, Emile Zola carefully chose his characters’ family names and given names, looking for clues in authentic documents or inventing some new anthroponyms himself. The main principle of the relation between a character and his/her family name is the name’s meaning and the symbolical significance hidden in its phonetic and semantic structure. As far as the given names are concerned, their choice usually seems to be determined by irony, the writer’s favorite literary technique.

Latgalian surnames as a source of research in dialectology and language contact studies

Abstract This article is focused on the analysis of surnames used in the eastern part of Latvia, i.e., Latgale, the history of which to a certain extent differs from other regions of Latvia. This is due to almost 300 years (1629–1917) of isolation from the territory inhabited by other ethnic Latvians, during which this region was under Polish and later Russian rule. During this 300-year-long separation, Latgale developed its own culture, a written tradition based on the local Latvian dialect, etc. The introduction of surnames for the Latvians of Latgale also differed from other regions.
