Li-ion Battery Modeling and State of Charge Estimation Method Including the Hysteresis Effect
2019
In this paper, a new approach to modeling the hysteresis phenomenon of the open circuit voltage (OCV) of lithium-ion batteries and estimating the battery state of charge (SoC) is presented. A characterization procedure is proposed to identify the battery model parameters, in particular, those related to the hysteresis phenomenon and the transition between charging and discharging conditions. A linearization method is used to obtain a suitable trade-off between the model accuracy and a low computational cost, in order to allow the implementation of SoC estimation on common hardware platforms. The proposed characterization procedure and the model effectiveness for SoC estimation are experime…
A study of the B and Be star population in the field of the LMC open cluster NGC 2004 with VLT-FLAMES
2005
Observations of hot stars belonging to the young cluster LMC-NGC2004 and its surrounding region have been obtained with the VLT-GIRAFFE facilities in MEDUSA mode. 25 Be stars were discovered; the proportion of Be stars compared to B-type stars is found to be of the same order in the LMC and in the Galaxy fields. 23 hot stars were discovered as spectroscopic binaries (SB1 and SB2), 5 of these are found to be eclipsing systems from the MACHO database, with periods of a few days. About 75% of the spectra in our sample are polluted by hydrogen (Halpha and Hgamma), [SII] and [NII] nebular lines. These lines are typical of HII regions. They could be associated with patchy nebulosities with a bi-m…
Experimental Observations of Flow and Bed Processes in Large-Amplitude Meandering Flume
2009
Meanders of large amplitude often exhibit asymmetric planform shape or subsidiary bends. The present work is aimed at improving on understanding of the morphodynamic phenomena affecting the bed evolution of large amplitude meandering channels. Attention is focused on the development of the steady point bar-pool configuration and of the superimposed large-scale migrating bed forms; of particular interest is the role of the changing channel curvature and bed topography variation on flow pattern. A series of experiments was carried out in a sine-generated large-amplitude meandering flume, for two values of width-to-depth ratio. Maps documenting the bed topography and the flow pattern along the…
Efficacy of bendamustine and rituximab in splenic marginal zone lymphoma: results from the phase II BRISMA/IELSG36 study.
2018
Splenectomy in addition to immunotherapy with rituximab can provide quick and sometimes durable disease control in patients with splenic marginal zone lymphoma (SMZL). However, systemic chemotherapy is ultimately required in many cases. The BRISMA (Bendamustine-rituximab as first-line treatment of splenic marginal zone lymphoma)/IELSG (International Extranodal Lymphoma Study Group)36 trial is an open-label, single arm phase II study designed by the IELSG in cooperation with the Fondazione Italiana Linfomi and the lymphoma Study Association according to Simon's two-stage method. The primary endpoint was complete response rate. Fifty-six patients with SMZL diagnosis confirmed on central revis…
High Anti-Lymphoma Activity of Bendamustine/Mitoxantrone/Rituximab (BMR) in Rituximab Pretreated Relapsed or Refractory Indolent Lymphomas. A Multice…
2006
Abstract Purpose: Bendamustine is a new anti-lymphoma agent with promising activity. Based on a preceeding phase I study the current trial explored Bendamustine in combination with Mitoxantrone and Rituximab (BMR) in patients with relapsed or refractory indolent lymphomas. Patients and Methods: Patients with relapsed or refractory symptomatic stage III/IV indolent lymphomas with or without prior treatment with Rituximab were eligible. Therapy consisted of Bendamustine 90 mg/m2 days 1+2, Mitoxantrone 10 mg/m2 day 1, Rituximab 375 mg/m2 day 8. Treatment was repeated on day 29 for a total of 4 cycles. Results: Between 04/03 and 07/04 62 patients were recruited from 24 participating institution…
Alemtuzumab Combined with Dexamethasone, Followed By Alemtuzumab Maintenance or Allo-SCT in "ultra High-risk" CLL: Final Results from the CLL2O Phase…
2014
CLL with deletion 17p (17p-) or refractory to fludarabine (F)-based regimens is characterized by poor prognosis. The cooperative French/German CLL2O study aimed at achieving deep and durable response in this population by combining alemtuzumab (A) and dexamethasone (D) induction, followed by consolidation with A maintenance or allogeneic stem-cell transplantation (allo-SCT). Induction treatment consisted of subcutaneous A (30mg, 3x weekly) combined with oral D (40 mg days 1-4 and 15-18), both at 28 day cycles, and prophylactic pegfilgrastim 6 mg on days 1 and 15. If at least SD was achieved after 3 cycles, consolidation was scheduled with either allo-SCT or A maintenance (30mg every 2 weeks…
Final Results of a Phase I/II Trial of the Combination Bendamustine and Rituximab With Temsirolimus (BeRT) in Relapsed Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Folli…
2020
Abstract. In this phase I/II study, we explored the combination of Temsirolimus with Bendamustine and Rituximab (BeRT) in patients with relapsed or refractory (r/r) follicular lymphoma (FL) or mantle cell lymphoma (MCL). Patients with 1 to 3 previous therapies received Bendamustine (90 mg/m2, day 1 + 2) and Rituximab (375 mg/m2, day 1) with Temsirolimus in doses from 25 to 75 mg in phase I and 50 mg Temsirolimus in phase II, added on day 1, 8, 15 of a 28 days cycle. The primary endpoint of the phase II was ORR at the end of treatment. Overall, 39 (29 MCL, 10 FL) patients were included. Median age was 71 years and median pretreatment number was 2. Grade 3/4 non-hematologic adverse events wer…
Alemtuzumab Plus Oral Dexamethasone, Followed by Alemtuzumab Maintenance or Allogeneic Transplantation in Ultra High-Risk CLL: Updated Results From a…
2012
Abstract Abstract 716 CLL patients characterized by 17p-, TP53 mutation or refractoriness to fludarabine (F)-based therapy show a very poor prognosis (“ultra high-risk CLL”). Although alemtuzumab (A) showed efficacy in these cohorts, the rate and duration of remissions remain unsatisfactory. Aim of the CLL2O study was to achieve higher overall response rates (ORR) by adding high-dose dexamethasone (D) to A during induction and investigating the consolidation effect of prolonged A or allogeneic stem-cell transplantation (allo-SCT), respectively. Induction treatment consisted of subcutaneous A, 30 mg weekly × 3 for 28 days, combined with oral D, 40 mg on days 1–4 and 15–18, and prophylactic p…
Prospective, Observational Study To Assess The Safety Of Rituximab In Combination With Chemotherapy In Patients With Previously-Untreated Or Relapsed…
2013
Abstract Aim and Background The efficacy and safety of rituximab plus chemo (R+chemo) for first-line and relapsed B-CLL patients(pts) have been widely investigated in clinical trials and large patient cohorts, but much less is known about whether such regimens can be effectively and safely administered to unselected pts in the community setting to reflect the routine care of B-CLL pts. Therefore, this observational study was designed to characterize the type, severity and frequency of all adverse events occurring on-treatment and in the year following rituximab infusion. A secondary objective was to assess response rate (CR/nPR/PR), duration of response, disease-free survival, overall survi…
