Autonomia e abolizione dell'arte. Emergenze maodadaiste nel movimento del Settantasette

2014

Theory and regulation of liquidity risk management in banking

2016

Liquidity risk is now more important than it used to be in the past. The financial crisis has emphasised the importance of liquidity risk to the functioning of banking and financial system. The paper presents a theoretical and regulatory investigation of two types of liquidity risk: funding liquidity risk and market liquidity risk. The paper analyses the different approaches to measure the impact of funding and market liquidity risk in the economics and management of banks. The paper provides also an analysis of the organisational implications of the asset and liability management perspective of liquidity risk. Liquidity risk does not need to be covered by equity but by an adequate volume o…

Comparison of Shod and Unshod Gait in Patients With Parkinson's Disease With Subthalamic and Nigral Stimulation

2022

Background: The Parkinsonian [i.e., Parkinson's disease (PD)] gait disorder represents a therapeutical challenge with residual symptoms despite the use of deep brain stimulation of the subthalamic nucleus (STN DBS) and medical and rehabilitative strategies. The aim of this study was to assess the effect of different DBS modes as combined stimulation of the STN and substantia nigra (STN+SN DBS) and environmental rehabilitative factors as footwear on gait kinematics. Methods: This single-center, randomized, double-blind, crossover clinical trial assessed shod and unshod gait in patients with PD with medication in different DBS conditions (i.e., STIM OFF, STN DBS, and STN+SN DBS) during differe…

New high-sensitivity searches for neutrons converting into antineutrons and/or sterile neutrons at the HIBEAM/NNBAR experiment at the European Spalla…

2021

Abstract The violation of baryon number, B , is an essential ingredient for the preferential creation of matter over antimatter needed to account for the observed baryon asymmetry in the Universe. However, such a process has yet to be experimentally observed. The HIBEAM/NNBAR program is a proposed two-stage experiment at the European Spallation Source to search for baryon number violation. The program will include high-sensitivity searches for processes that violate baryon number by one or two units: free neutron–antineutron oscillation ( n → n ̄ ) via mixing, neutron–antineutron oscillation via regeneration from a sterile neutron state ( n → [ n ′ , n ̄ ′ ] → n ̄ ), and neutron disappearan…

Operatori penitenziari: richieste del cambiamento e profili organizzativi

2017

Connections Between Single-Level and Bilevel Multiobjective Optimization

2011

The relationship between bilevel optimization and multiobjective optimization has been studied by several authors and there have been repeated attempts to establish a link between the two. We unify the results from the literature and generalize them for bilevel multiobjective optimization. We formulate sufficient conditions for an arbitrary binary relation to guarantee equality between the efficient set produced by the relation and the set of optimal solutions to a bilevel problem. In addition, we present specially structured bilevel multiobjective optimization problems motivated by real-life applications and an accompanying binary relation permitting their reduction to single-level multiob…

The nerve hemoglobin of the bivalve mollusc Spisula solidissima

2006

Abstract Members of the hemoglobin (Hb) superfamily are present in nerve tissue of several vertebrate and invertebrate species. In vertebrates they display hexacoordinate heme iron atoms and are typically expressed at low levels (μm). Their function is still a matter of debate. In invertebrates they have a hexa- or pentacoordinate heme iron, are mostly expressed at high levels (mm), and have been suggested to have a myoglobin-like function. The native Hb of the surf clam, Spisula solidissima, composed of 162 amino acids, does not show specific deviations from the globin templates. UV-visible and resonance Raman spectroscopy demonstrate a hexacoordinate heme iron. Based on the sequence analo…
