The importance of management innovation and consultant services on ERP implementation success

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation has been an important activity for improving efficiency. However, an ERP system is a critical investment that can significantly affect future performance of a company. Many ERP projects report an unusually high failure rate. This study empirically investigates the involvement of management consultants in ERP implementation success. The results from our field survey of 134 ERP end-users in Spanish ceramic tile companies show that ERP implementation success significantly depends on the quality of consultant services. Abstract The present drafts regarding the quality of milk and dairy products, define it as a controlled act of creation with known accuracy that can be reached by applying constitutive control systems of the processing technologies that are present in all proceeding phases of the product. In order to achieve the purpose and to apply it in the production process by students – future specialist, we use as a teaching-learning technique the SWOT Analyze. The SWOT analysis is an efficient method that is used in the teaching technique, especially when planning the strategy in order to identify the potentials and the priorities.

En este artículo, describimos los datos recogidos en las entrevistas realizadas a 101 directores de producción y en las visitas posteriores a sus plantas. En él, presentamos la importancia que tiene el tipo de producto fabricado y el número de trabajadores en plantilla, para explicar las diferencias que existen en los resultados productivos de las empresas. Algunos indicadores como el plazo de fabricación, la cantidad de inventario de producto terminado o la productividad por operario, son sensiblemente diferentes en las distintas agrupaciones de empresas. Sin embargo, la satisfacción percibida por el mando de producción apenas varía al agrupar las empresas por producto fabricado.

The food industry is the most important and largest manufacturing industry in Latvia, producing almost a third of all manufacturing output. Employees in a food production enterprises are exposed to a variety of ergonomic risks: monotonous work movements that can be repeated up to 1000 times a day, overloads that exceeds 30 kg in lifting and moving operations, forced working postures, fast work pace. Economic lot scheduling on multiple production lines with resource constraints

Abstract This paper deals with the multiple production line economic lot scheduling problem, where some items cannot be produced concurrently since they compete for some discrete resources. In particular, cyclic schedules are sought for a problem where identical production lines are present, lost sales are allowed, and minimization of the long-range production, setup, inventory, and shortage penalty costs are required. A heuristic procedure for this problem is introduced, a numerical example is worked out and some computational experiments are presented.
