Methods for defining user groups and user-adjusted information structures

A common problem in the design of information systems is how to structure the information in a way that is most useful to different groups of users. This paper describes some statistical methods for revealing the structure inherent in empirical data elicited from users. It is illustrated by the application of these methods to the design of some web pages giving information about the Universitat de Valencia. Three potential user groups were identified, administrative staff, teaching staff and students. The Appeals Chamber in the case of Ruto and Sang has resolved, for the first time since the entry into force of the ICC, the question related to its power to compel a witness to testify; moreover it has established that State parties may compel the witness to appear in their territory in order to ensure the oral hearing also by way of a video-link from the Hague to the location of the witness.

Recently the Quantum Spin Hall effect (QSH) was theoretically predicted and experimentally realized in a quantum wells based on binary semiconductor HgTe[1-3]. QSH state and topological insulators are the new states of quantum matter interesting both for fundamental condensed matter physics and material science[1-11]. Heusler compounds are promising materials in many fields of contemporary research. The spectrum of their possible applications ranges from magnetic and magneto-mechanical materials over semiconductors and thermoelectrics to superconductors. An important feature of the Heusler compounds is the possibility of controlling the valence electron concentration by partial substitution of elements. Effect of pressure on superconductivity in NaAlSi

The ternary superconductor NaAlSi, isostructural with LiFeAs, the ``111'' iron pnictide superconductor, is investigated under pressure. The structure remains stable up to 15 GPa. Resistivity and susceptibility measurements show an increase of ${T}_{c}$ up to 2 GPa, followed by a decrease until superconductivity disappears at 4.8 GPa. Band structure calculations show that pressure should have a negligible effect on the electronic structure and the Fermi surface and thus the disappearance of superconductivity under pressure must have a different origin. We compare the electronic structure of NaAlSi under pressure with that of nonsuperconducting isostructural NaAlGe.
Prediction of pressure-induced superconductivity in the novel ternary system ScCaH2n (n = 1–6)

Hydrogen-rich systems are currently thought to constitute the most promising potential high-temperature superconductor materials. Here, the high-pressure structure and superconductivity of the ternary hydrogen-rich system ScCaH2n (n = 1–6) are systematically investigated by using the prediction method of particle swarm optimization structure combined with first-principles calculations. As n increases, the electron local function (ELF) indicates that the hydrogen atoms in this system exhibit different behaviors corresponding to single H atoms, H2 molecules, graphene-like layers and, ultimately, H clathrate cages. School-based teacher educators (SBTEs) should be able to set goals in two roles – as a teacher and as a supervisor of student teachers. The purpose of the study was to investigate school-based teacher educators’ teaching and supervising goals and to identify how teachers in the role of supervisors perceived university expectations. Thematic analysis indicated that teachers have difficulty establishing goals for themselves as teachers and supervisors. Their teaching goals proceeded from curricula and focused on their pupils’ cognitive development, whilst their perceptions about supporting pupils’ social development were vague.
