The Company Clusters Power in Tourism Destinations: The Network Configuration and the Business Organisation
2022
Better and greater coordination and integration between companies are essential for tourist destination development processes improving competitiveness. Moreover, it is difficult to imagine that all companies can cooperate. In this way, we can imagine finding a group of companies that, for several reasons, decide to cooperate, creating some clusters as small groups. Companies with stable connections with other clusters or relevant companies could be relevant and central to Tourism Destination (TD) management. In this way, the knowledge of network articulation seems to be critical for TD management business dynamics. In most cases, the relationships are hidden and not formalised, increasing …

Application of the Generalized Molar-Ratio Method to the Determination of the Stoichiometry and Apparent Binding Constant of Nanoparticle-Organic Cap…
2015
A generalization of the molar-ratio method is applied to the determination of the stoichiometry and apparent binding constant of metal nanoparticle-organic capping complexes (MmLx) using voltammetric data for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) in air-saturated aqueous phosphate buffer solutions. The method is applied to the formation of binary nanohybrids consisting of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) capped with a rigid spacer, cucurbit[7]uril (CB), termed AuNP@CB, as well as to the formation of their ternary complexes (MmLxBz) with methylene blue (MB), termed AuNP@CB@MB. The obtained stoichiometries correspond to binding of four Au surface atoms for each CB unit.
Stabilities and coordination modes of histidine in copper(II) mixed-ligand complexes with ethylenediamine, diethylenetriamine or N,N,N′,N″,N″-pentame…
2008
Abstract Solution equilibrium studies on the Cu(II)–polyamine–methionine ternary systems (polyamine: ethylenediamine (en), diethylenetriamine (dien), N,N,N′,N′′,N′′-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine (Me5dien)) have been performed by pH-potentiometry, UV–Vis spectrophotometry and EPR methods. The obtained results suggest the formation of the mixed-ligand complexes with [Cu(A)(Met)]+ stoichiometry in all studied systems. Our spectroscopic results indicate the tetragonal geometry for [Cu(en)(Met)]+, the geometry slightly deviated from square pyramidal for [Cu(dien)(Met)]+ and strongly deviated from square pyramidal towards trigonal bipyramidal for the [Cu(Me5dien)(Met)]+ species. The coordination …
Application of the small-angle neutron scattering technique to the study of solubilization mechanisms of organic molecules by micellar systems
1996
Abstract We present the possible contribution of the small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) technique to the molecular interpretation of the solubilization phenomena in simple micellar systems. We show for a few ternary micellar systems, that an appropriate analysis of SANS experimental data can provide information on modifications induced on micellar dimension, shape, number of monomer, and charge and on the partition coefficient of the additive and its localization inside the micellar aggregate. The influence of n -alcohols on the thermodynamics and on the structure of sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) aqueous solution has been extensively investigated, so the agreement between the results obt…
Electrochemistry of copper complexes with macrocyclic polyamines containing pyrazole units.
2006
The voltammetric behaviour of bi- and mono-nuclear complexes formed in solution by Cu(2+) with three polyazacyclophanes containing pyrazole units in aqueous solution is described. Cyclic and square wave voltammetric responses at glassy carbon electrodes indicate that the reduction of copper-macrocycle complexes in solution takes place in two successive one-electron per Cu transfer processes coupled with preorganization and protonation reactions that mimic the behaviour of superoxide dismutase. The electrochemistry of ternary Cu(2+)-receptor-dopamine complexes exhibits significant differences with respect to the protection of the neurotransmitter from post-electron transfer cyclization react…
Measurement and correlation of liquid-liquid equilibria at different temperatures in water + 1-propanol + 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluorome…
2016
Abstract In order to reduce the environmental impact and the economical costs of the separation of 1-propanol from aqueous mixtures, which enables the recycling of the alcohol, the experimental liquid-liquid equilibria (LLE) data of water (1) + 1-propanol (2) + 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide ([emim][Tf2N]) (3) and water (1) + 1-propanol (2) + 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide ([hmim][Tf2N]) (3) systems were measured in this work at different temperatures: 283.2, 303.2 and 323.2 K at atmospheric pressure. The results were correlated by non-random two-liquid (NRTL) and universal quasichemical (UNIQUAC) models with good results in both…
Branch-Price-and-Cut for the Soft-Clustered Capacitated Arc-Routing Problem
2021
The soft-clustered capacitated arc-routing problem (SoftCluCARP) is a variant of the classical capacitated arc-routing problem. The only additional constraint is that the set of required edges, that is, the streets to be serviced, is partitioned into clusters, and feasible routes must respect the soft-cluster constraint, that is, all required edges of the same cluster must be served by the same vehicle. In this article, we design an effective branch-price-and-cut algorithm for the exact solution of the SoftCluCARP. Its new components are a metaheuristic and branch-and-cut-based solvers for the solution of the column-generation subproblem, which is a profitable rural clustered postman tour …
A comparison of two different formulations for Arc Routing Problems on Mixed graphs
2006
[EN] Arc routing problems on mixed graphs have been modelled in the literature either using just one variable per edge or associating to each edge two variables, each one representing its traversal in the corresponding direction. In this paper, and using the mixed general routing problem as an example, we compare theoretical and computationally both formulations as well as the lower bounds obtained from them using Linear Programming based methods. Extensive computational experiments, including some big and newly generated random instances, are presented.
Arc routing problems: A review of the past, present, and future
2020
[EN] Arc routing problems (ARPs) are defined and introduced. Following a brief history of developments in this area of research, different types of ARPs are described that are currently relevant for study. In addition, particular features of ARPs that are important from a theoretical or practical point of view are discussed. A section on applications describes some of the changes that have occurred from early applications of ARP models to the present day and points the way to emerging topics for study. A final section provides information on libraries and instance repositories for ARPs. The review concludes with some perspectives on future research developments and opportunities for emergin…
