The bis(mu-phenoxo) (FeNiIII)-Ni-II compound [Fe-III(N-3)(2)LNiII(H2O)(CH3CN)](ClO4) (1) and the bis(mu-phenoxo)-mu-acetate/bis(mu-phenoxo)-bis(mu-acetate) (FeNiII)-Ni-III compound {[Fe-III(OAc)LNiII(H2O)(mu-OAc)](0.6)center dot[(FeLNiII)-L-III(mu-OAc)(2)](0.4)}(ClO4)center dot 1.1H(2)O (2) have been synthesized from the Robson type tetraiminodiphenol macrocyclic ligand H2L, which is the [2 + 2] condensation product of 4-methyl-2,6-diformylphenol and 2,2'-dimethy1-1,3-diaminopropane. Sintering of copper nanopowders under hydrogen: an in situ X-ray diffraction analysis.

Abstract The reduction by hydrogen gas of the cuprite layer on copper nanocrystals and the subsequent sintering of the nano-particles were studied using in-situ X-ray diffraction and dilatometry. Spherical nanocrystals produced by evaporation and condensation have an average size of 35 nm, exhibiting a large surface curvature. Each nanoparticle is coated with a 3.5 nm layer of Cu 2 O, which is rough and disordered, as revealed by high-resolution electron microscopy. Reduction by hydrogen of this curved cuprite layer occurs at 363 K, which is ≈65 K lower than is observed on a layer supported by micrometer-sized or bulk copper with a flat surface. Social Proximity and Environmental NGO Relationships in Corporate Sustainability Reports

This study demonstrates how three Finnish companies constructed their stakeholder relationships with environmental NGOs (ENGOs) in terms of social proximity in their sustainability reports between 2003 and 2012. The study identifies five types of stakeholder relationship between ENGOs and corporations constructed in the reports: monetary, management system, collaborative, dialogue and conflicting. Within these relationships the level of constructed social proximity and level of trust vary. Free perforation in abdominal cavity in patients with Crohn's disease is a rare entity as attested from the data reported in the literature. It is a very dangerous event and requires a surgical urgency management. The Authors reported two cases of free perforation, in patients with Crohn' disease, undergoing surgical operation in urgency. Analyzing pathogenesis, difficulty in diagnosis making and therapeutic choices, they underline that CT is very useful in the diagnosis, while resection of the perforated intestinal tract represent the best surgical treatment.

The typical complications of Crohn's disease concerns small and large bowel. The full thickness inflammation of the intestinal wall develops in strictures, fistulas and abdominal abscesses. Nowadays the most accepted therapeutic for intra-abdominal abscess option is antibiotic therapy and, in case of need, percutaneous drainage of the abscess. If the abscess passes through the pelvic foramen the abscess can involve the inferior limbs. The technique which combines high resolution spectroscopy with imaging capability is a powerful tool to extract fundamental information in X-ray Astrophysics and Cosmology.
