Hyperparasitoids are some of the most diverse members of insect food webs. True hyperparasitoids parasitize the larvae of other parasitoids, reaching these larvae with their ovipositor through the herbivore that hosts the parasitoid larva. During pupation, primary parasitoids also may be attacked by pseudohyperparasitoids that lay their eggs on the parasitoid (pre)pupae. By attacking primary parasitoids, hyperparasitoids may affect herbivore population dynamics, and they have been identified as a major challenge in biological control. El principal objetivo de este trabajo es describir las prácticas más utilizadas por los investigadores en el área de la conducta del consumidor y el marketing. Mediante una metodología de revisión documental se analizan las prácticas de AFE en cinco revistas españolas dedicadas a dicha temática (2000-2010). A Deep Network Approach to Multitemporal Cloud Detection

We present a deep learning model with temporal memory to detect clouds in image time series acquired by the Seviri imager mounted on the Meteosat Second Generation (MSG) satellite. The model provides pixel-level cloud maps with related confidence and propagates information in time via a recurrent neural network structure. With a single model, we are able to outline clouds along all year and during day and night with high accuracy.

Impact of parasitoid-associated polydnaviruses on plant-mediated herbivore interactions

Insect herbivores interact via plant-mediated interactions in which one herbivore species induces changes in plant quality that affects the performance of a second phytophagous insect that shares the food plant. These interactions are often asymmetric due to specificity in induced plant responses to herbivore attack, amount of plant damage, elicitors in herbivore saliva and plant organ damaged by herbivores. Parasitoids and their symbiotic polydnaviruses alter herbivore physiology and behaviour and may influence how plants respond to parasitized herbivores. International audience; Objective of the study. - Study of the spatio-temporal fungal colonization in a new medical mycology laboratory. Methods. - A 17-month survey of airborne fungal contamination was conducted in a new medical mycology laboratory at a tertiary care university hospital. This survey was implemented at three different periods: before the new premises were occupied (period A), during the move into the new laboratory (period B) and after resumption of the mycological activities in these new premises (period C). Tämän työn tarkoituksena oli selvittää opiskelijoiden kokemuksia fysiikan perus- ja aineopintokurssien laboratoriotöiden hyödyllisyydestä. Tutkimus toteutettiin kyselyaineistolla, joka kerättiin Jyväskylän yliopiston fysiikan laitoksen oppilaslaboratoriossa kevään ja kesän 2016 aikana. Opiskelijat vastasivat kyselyyn vapaaehtoisesti suoritettuaan jonkin laboratoriotyön. Kerätyn aineiston pohjalta (\(N=154\) ) analysoitiin kvantitatiivisesti opiskelijoiden kokemuksia kehittymisestä viidessä keskeisessä laboratoriotyön tavoitteessa. Ultrasound-assisted MnO2 catalyzed homolysis of peracetic acid for phenol degradation: The assessment of process chemistry and kinetics

Abstract The combination of peracetic acid (PAA) and heterogeneous catalyst (MnO 2 ) was used for the degradation of phenol in an aqueous solution in the presence of ultrasound irradiation (US). As a relevant source of free radicals (e.g. OH), peracetic acid was comprehensively studied by means of electron spin resonance (ESR) spin trapping (ST) techniques with the subsequent identification of free radicals by simulation based fitting (SBF) technique.
