Naamiot assosioituvat mielissämme teatteriin. Teatterinaamiot soveltuvat esitys- ja opetusvälineiksi kuitenkin muidenkin taiteenalojen, kuten tanssin ja musiikin pariin. Romanttisten vihjeiden vaikutus miesmuusikoiden improvisaatioiden luovuuteen

Tässä opinnäytteessä tutkittiin romanttisten vihjeiden vaikutusta miesmuusikoiden improvisaatioiden luovuuteen. Tarkoituksena oli selvittää, olisiko ”muusaefektiä”, eli muusien vaikutusta muusikoiden luovuuteen havaittavissa kokeellisesti. Samalla oli tarkoitus selvittää musiikin funktiota seksuaalivalinnan seurauksensa kehittyneenä soidinmenona. Empiirinen osuus perustui paljolti aiempaan tutkimukseen, jossa oltiin havaittu romanttisten vihjeiden vaikuttavan kirjalliseen luovuuteen seksuaalivalintateorian ennustamalla tavalla, ja tutkimus pyrki laajentamaan tätä ideaa musiikilliseen improvisaatioon. This study addresses the lack of a theoretical basis in dance piano accompaniment music geared towards dance. We study which musical features are perceptually most relevant and prompt specific dance movements and gestures, particularly in academic dance.11 musical pieces using an academic style (duration approximately 30s) were composed for the experiment and recorded on a piano.
