Muscle wasting, i.e., cachexia, frequently occurs in cancer and associates with poor prognosis and increased morbidity and mortality. Anticancer treatments have also been shown to contribute to sustainment or exacerbation of cachexia, thus affecting quality of life and overall survival in cancer patients. Pre-clinical studies have shown that blocking activin receptor type 2 (ACVR2) or its ligands and their downstream signaling can preserve muscle mass in rodents bearing experimental cancers, as well as in chemotherapy-treated animals. Abstract Background In contrast to earlier assumptions, there is now mounting evidence for the role of tundra soils as important sources of the greenhouse gas nitrous oxide (N2O). However, the microorganisms involved in the cycling of N2O in this system remain largely uncharacterized. Since tundra soils are variable sources and sinks of N2O, we aimed at investigating differences in community structure across different soil ecosystems in the tundra. In this work we consider a numerically solvable model of a two-electron diatomic molecule to study a recently proposed approximation based on the density functional theory of so-called strictly correlated electrons (SCE). We map out the full two-particle wave function for a wide range of bond distances and interaction strengths and obtain analytic results for the two-particle states and eigenenergies in various limits of strong and weak interactions, and in the limit of large bond distance. Tēla veidošana ir viens no mehānismiem, ar kura palīdzību tiek ietekmētas citas personas, veidojot psiholoģisku iespaidu pat uz cilvēku pūļiem. Bieži vien politiķa vienveidīgais tēls ir nepietiekams. Piemēram, politiķis izmanto dažādus žestus, lai piesaistītu un noturētu sabiedrīas uzmanību. Vadoties no politiķa tēla, tā biedri un tauta var spriest par politiķa dabu un raksturu. Celem artykułu jest znalezienie odpowiedzi na następujące pytania: 1) W jaki sposób problem uchodźców jest wyrażony językowo w wybranych zbiorach tekstów? 2) Jakie cechy charakterystyczne nadaje uchodźcom prasa i jak są oni oceniani? 3) Jakie różnice i podobieństwa można zaobserwować w opisie problematyki uchodźców w oparciu o wybrane zbiory tekstów?
