Design of a transverse flux machine for power generation from seawaves
2014
In this paper, we present a transverse flux linear generator. We investigate the possibility to use this generator to extract energy from seawaves. We propose an optimization procedure that allows us to obtain an optimized design of the generator. The optimized design of the converter shows a power generation capability index much higher than other renewable systems.

Abstract: This article explores the ways in which motifs of feminine culpability, typically articulated by the male courtly lover to his beloved lady in the Spanish sentimental novel, are subverted in the anonymous fifteenth-century Catalan chivalric novel Curial e Guelfa. This subversion of culpability motifs is facilitated in Curial e Guelfa since there is also a subversion of gender roles within the amorous relationship of the novel’s protagonists: a female lover, Guelfa, who courts her male beloved, Curial. I demonstrate how the same tactics used by the male courtly lover in the sentimental novel to blame the beloved lady for his suffering and the demise of the relationship are employed…

The engraving of València from the Primera parte de la crónica by Pere Antoni Beuter, originally published in 1546, is the first overview of the city as a whole. It includes a large number of constructions and features of València, configuring, in addition, the most characteristic point of view to represent the city: the northern. Its modernity has to be compared with other valencian and contemporary peninsular urban engravings. Starting from sociologist Anne-Marie Green?s idea of ?common space?, and from Hans Robert Hauss? reception theory, the improvisation workshop is thought to be a way of transforming the practices of reception, in order to modify the nature of the culture of listening of each listener. Four research axis are, then, proposed, from the validation of the personal experience of the participants to the reception of the instant?s surprise as a factor of education, including the research of communicational tools specific to reception of music, capable of captivating the listeners with the original aspects of the unknown musical territories.
