Contributions to the analysis and design of all-inductive filters with dielectric resonators

In this work, three modern full-wave methods will be employed for the accurate analysis and efficient design of a novel family of all-inductive filters loaded with dielectric resonators. These techniques are the bi-orthonormal-basis combined with the orthonormal-basis method, the hybrid mode-matching/spectral method, and, finally, the BI-RME (Boundary Integral-Resonant Mode Expansion) method. Prepulse inhibition can predict the motivational effects of cocaine in female mice exposed to maternal separation

The prepulse inhibition (PPI) of the startle response can identify the rodents that are more sensitive to the effects of cocaine. Mice with a lower PPI presented a higher vulnerability to the effects of cocaine and a higher susceptibility to developing a substance use disorder (SUD). Maternal separation with early weaning (MSEW) is a relevant animal model to induce motivational alterations throughout life. Multiple nodal solutions for semilinear robin problems with indefinite linear part and concave terms

We consider a semilinear Robin problem driven by Laplacian plus an indefinite and unbounded potential. The reaction function contains a concave term and a perturbation of arbitrary growth. Using a variant of the symmetric mountain pass theorem, we show the existence of smooth nodal solutions which converge to zero in $C^1(\overline{\Omega})$. If the coefficient of the concave term is sign changing, then again we produce a sequence of smooth solutions converging to zero in $C^1(\overline{\Omega})$, but we cannot claim that they are nodal.

Endoluminal Stent-Graft Relining of Visceral Artery Bypass Grafts to Treat Perigraft Seroma

PURPOSE: To describe the endovascular treatment of intra-abdominal perigraft seromas associated with small-caliber expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) grafts. CASE REPORTS: Two patients who underwent hybrid repair of thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms in which renovisceral bypass grafts were implanted presented with large, symptomatic perigraft seromas. The 5- to 8-mm-diameter ePTFE bypass grafts believed to be involved in the seromas were successfully relined with self-expanding Viabahn stent-grafts in percutaneous procedures. - Abstract The purpose of the present study was to examine the role of explicit cognitions in relation to the development of obsessive smoking passion. Data derives from a longitudinal internet survey conducted among 939 daily smokers over a period of four months. Mental representations were the strongest predictor of obsessive smoking passion (ß=.47, p<.001) followed by habit strength (ß=.25, p<.001) and number of cigarettes smoked (ß=.09, p<.01). Altogether the variables accounted for 48% of the variance in obsessive smoking passion. Abstract The aim of this work has been to implement a set of procedures useful to automatise the evaluation, the design storm prediction and the flood discharge associated with a selected risk level. For this purpose a Geographic Information System has been implemented using Grass 5.0. One of the main topics of such a system is a georeferenced database of the highest intensity rainfalls and their assigned duration recorded in Sicily. A re-interpretation of the deep structure of the High Atlas is presented through integration of geophysical and geological data, highlighting the architectural significance of the southern Tethys palaeomargin. Previous crustal models suggest the occurrence of a flat intra-crustal detachment at a depth of � 20 km, a zone where surface thrusts merge and below which the lower High Atlas crust appears continuous. However, within this study seismic refraction data, electrical resistivity surveys and gravity modelling all appear to detect a jump in crustal thickness between the High Atlas and the northern plains.
