Tailored electrospun nanofibrous polycaprolactone/gelatin scaffolds into an acid hydrolytic solvent system

[EN] Blended nanofibrous scaffolds based on polycaprolactone (PCL) and gelatin (Ge) were successfully prepared. A formic/acetic acid (1:1) mixture was used to dissolve PCL/Ge blends from 100/0 to 20/80 %wt in steps of 10 %wt. The hydrolysis of the PCL diluted in the formic/acetic acid mixture was considered as a method for tailoring the surface morphology and physicochemical features of the nanofibrous PCL/Ge scaffolds as a function of the dissolution time. The fibre diameter remained in the nanoscale range for all the studied scaffolds, which is crucial to mimic the extra-cellular matrix size. Lipid multilayered particles: the role of chitosan on structure and morphology

Multilayered nanovectors made up from a controlled binary lipid mixture (POPC and DMPS) and trimethyl chitosan (TMC) have been prepared and characterized by light- and small angle neutron scattering. The morphology and the multilayer structure of the particle outer shell has been described in detail. By varying the amount of TMC in the starting solution it is possible to tune the overall surface particle charge as well as its multilamellarity. In this way the drug loading/release properties of the particles can be controlled. Therefore the use of controlled POPC/DMPS mixtures can be a valid alternative to commercial lecithin to obtain nanovectors with specific release properties.
Teschoviruses and sapeloviruses in faecal samples from wild boar in Spain

Teschovirus and Sapelovirus are two genera of the Picornaviridae family, comprising highly variable and heterogeneous enteric viruses, commonly found in faecal samples from domestic pigs. Although both of them are also known to infect wild boar, studies on their presence in these wild suids are scarce. The present study aimed at determining the presence of porcine teschovirus (PTV) and sapelovirus (PSV) in free-living wild boar populations, as well as to study their relationships with similar viruses present in pigs. In this study the agromomical and chemical characterization of 13 sicilian biotypes of Thymbra capitata (L.) Cav. (or Thymus capitatus Hoff. et Link.) collected from different areas of Sicily (Italy) and grown under the same agricultural and environmental condition are reported. The main morpho-productive parameters and quali-quantitative profile of essential oils were determined . Essential oils were extracts from the aerial parts of the plants by hydrodistillation. The essential oils were analyzed by GC-FID and GC-MS. Este estudio muestra los cambios de concepciones sobre el concepto de dualidad en física cuántica en un grupo de docentes, antes y después de un curso de capacitación. Se presentan diagramas de evolución como instrumento metodológico para analizar y visualizar resultados. Doktrynalne ujęcie korupcji stanowi przykład modelowej interdyscyplinarności tematu, jednakże często pozostawia wiele wątpliwości z uwagi na rozbieżności w postrzeganiu zjawisk towarzyszących korupcji. Autor podejmuje próbę przeglądu literatury, a także dokonuje analizy prawno-porównawczej norm prawa międzynarodowego oraz polskiego w odniesieniu do form korupcji. Z uwagi na brak uniwersalnego charakteru definicji legalnych, rozwiązaniem wydaje się wyodrębnienie kryminologicznych form korupcji, które ułatwić mogą jej percepcję, a w rezultacie prowadzić do skuteczniejszej walki z korupcją poprzez dobór właściwych metod technicznych oraz taktycznych.
