Abstract We study the perfect conductivity problem when two perfectly conducting inclusions are closely located to each other in an anisotropic background medium. We establish optimal upper and lower gradient bounds for the solution in any dimension which characterize the singular behavior of the electric field as the distance between the inclusions goes to zero.

Maģistra darbs ir uzrakstīts latviešu valodā uz 45 lapaspusēm. Tas satur 34 attēlu, 4 tabulas, un 46 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Darba mērķis: Izvērtēt, kā optiskās sistēmas parametri ietekmē stiklveida ķermeņa apduļķojumu fāzes noteikšanu optiskās sistēmas aberāciju klātbūtnē. Metode: Aberāciju/apduļķojumu simulācijas, optisko parametru ietkmes izvērtēšana MATLAB vidē. Rezultāti un analīze: Apduļķojumi ir rekonstruējami aberāciju klātbūtnē. Ja trokšņa un fona amplitūda ir vienāda, fons kvalitāti pazemina vairāk. Bitu dziļuma pazemināšana samazina trokšņa un fona efektu. Prediction and Surveillance Sampling Assessment in Plant Nurseries and Fields

In this paper, we propose a structured additive regression (STAR) model for modeling the occurrence of a disease in fields or nurseries. The methodological approach involves a Gaussian field (GF) affected by a spatial process represented by an approximation to a Gaussian Markov random field (GMRF). This modeling allows the building of maps with prediction probabilities regarding the presence of a disease in plants using Bayesian kriging. The advantage of this modeling is its computational benefit when compared with known spatial hierarchical models and with the Bayesian inference based on Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods. The great success of anodic alumina membranes is due to their morphological features coupled to both thermal and chemical stability. The electrochemical fabrication allows accurate control of the porous structure: in fact, the membrane morphological characteristics (pore length, pore diameter and cell density) can be controlled by adjusting the anodizing parameters (bath, temperature, voltage and time). Partial Discharge Detection Using a Spherical Electromagnetic Sensor

The presence of a partial discharge phenomenon in an electrical apparatus is a warning signal that could determine the failure of the insulation system, terminating the service of the apparatus and/or the network. In this paper, an innovative partial discharge (PD) measurement instrument based on an antenna sensor is presented and analyzed. Being non-intrusive is one of the most relevant features of the sensor. The frequency response of the antenna sensor and the features to recognize different PD sources and automatically synchronize them with the supply voltage are described and discussed in details. The thesis deals with development of synthetic methods for preparation of novel carbon-metal organohybrid based on diamondoid and palladium. The vapor pressure of various diamondoids was measured from a new measurement protocol at solid-vapor thermodynamic equilibrium state. Their volatile tendency opened a possibility to do deposition from gas phase and at various pressure (ambient, primary vacuum, and high vacuum) of diamondoids on silicon or mica substrates.
