This article explores the issues at stakes in defining the narrative caption. As a starting point, it reviews usual definitions which combine a functional component (the caption provides a certain kind of information), a graphic component (that characterizes it as a space) and an enunciative component (the text which conveys the narrator’s voice) are combined. Purpose: To study the association of parents’ reports about their children’s near work and outdoor habits with myopia in their children. Methods: Data from a questionnaire study conducted in 1983 among Finnish schoolchildren were reanalyzed. Vision screening had been performed for all the schoolchildren (n = 4961) in the 1st, 5th, and 8th grades (7-, 11-, and 15-year-olds) in an area of Central Finland. How- ever, few studies have examined differences between female and male gamers and gender-specific risk factors for Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD). Time - frequency analysis in an open - air theater

Acoustics measurements have been carried out along the steps of an ancient open-air theater. Source positions were fixed in several points in the orchestra while microphones, radially placed, were rotated sector by sector, spatially sampling the cavea. Measurements analysis allowed some speech and music sound quality index calculation for each source-microphone couple. Moving from the observation of acoustic quality indexes a time-frequency analysis of impulse response is presented in this paper. Timefrequency analysis of impulse response gives hints for new considerations about the sound field in this peculiar environment.

Human Topoisomerase I interaction with DNA on flexible nylon substrate for malaria diagnosis
The study of interaction between human Topoisomerase I (hTopo I) and the appropriate sequences of DNA is shown, with the aim to realize a biosensor for malaria diagnosis. Topoisomerases alter the topological state of DNA by catalysing the breaking and rejoining of DNA strands1. The ligase activity is fundamental for our biosensing strategy, revealing the pathology. hTopo I was chosen as a model system for the Plasmodium analogous. The biosensor is a new flexible and easy to degrade biochip printed on nylon by dip-pen lithography (DPL).
