Some perturbation results for quasi-bases and other sequences of vectors

We discuss some perturbation results concerning certain pairs of sequences of vectors in a Hilbert space $\Hil$ and producing new sequences which share, with the original ones, { reconstruction formulas on a dense subspace of $\Hil$ or on the whole space}. We also propose some preliminary results on the same issue, but in a distributional settings.
Finite-temperature geometric properties of the Kitaev honeycomb model

We study finite temperature topological phase transitions of the Kitaev's spin honeycomb model in the vortex-free sector with the use of the recently introduced mean Uhlmann curvature. We employ an appropriate Fermionisation procedure to study the system as a two-band p-wave superconductor described by a BdG Hamiltonian. This allows to study relevant quantities such as Berry and mean Uhlmann curvatures in a simple setting. More specifically, we consider the spin honeycomb in the presence of an external magnetic field breaking time reversal symmetry. The perturbation classes problem for closed operators

We compare the perturbation classes for closed semi-Fredholm and Fredholm operators with dense domain acting between Banach spaces with the corresponding perturbation classes for bounded semi-Fredholm and Fredholm operators. We show that they coincide in some cases, but they are different in general. We describe several relevant examples and point out some open problems.
Non-linear systems under delta correlated processes handled by perturbation theory

Statistical responses in terms of moment and correlation functions of non-linear systems driven by non-normal delta correlated external pulses are derived. The procedure takes full advantage of the perturbation theory approach. Then, by means of a proper coordinate transformation, the system is replaced by a quasi-linear system for which the statistical quantities can be exactly found.

On the attribution of contributions of atmospheric trace gases to emissions in atmospheric model applications

Abstract. We present an improved tagging method, which describes the combined effect of emissions of various species from individual emission categories, e.g. the impact of both, nitrogen oxides and non-methane hydrocarbon emissions on ozone. This method is applied to two simplified chemistry schemes, which represent the main characteristics of atmospheric ozone chemistry. Analytical solutions are presented for this tagging approach. Abstract Studying the effects of UV and VUV radiation on non‐canonical DNA/RNA nucleobases allows us to compare how they release excess energy following absorption with respect to their canonical counterparts. This has attracted much research attention in recent years because of its likely influence on the origin of our genetic lexicon in prebiotic times. Theoretical characterization of end-on and side-on peroxide coordination in ligated Cu2O2 models.

The relative energetics of mu-eta1:eta1 (trans end-on) and mu-eta2:eta2 (side-on) peroxo isomers of Cu2O2 fragments supported by 0, 2, 4, and 6 ammonia ligands have been computed with various density functional, coupled-cluster, and multiconfigurational protocols. There is substantial disagreement between the different levels for most cases, although completely renormalized coupled-cluster methods appear to offer the most reliable predictions.
