Linear Types for Higher Order Processes with First Class Directed Channels

Abstract We present a small programming language for distributed systems based on message passing processes. In contrast to similar languages, channels are one-to-one connections between a unique sender and a unique receiver process. Process definitions and channels are first class values and the topology of process systems can change dynamically. The operational semantics of the language is defined by means of graph rewriting rules. A static type system based on the notion of linear types ensures that channels are always used as one-to-one connections.

Farmers often grow only the few high-yielding crops in the area, and target maximum yields through high levels of inputs. These practices are based on the assumption of a positive relationship between productivity and profitability over a wide range of cropping systems (Woo et al., 2020; Erythrina et al., 2021). Part of the correlation between productivity and profitability could be related to differences in production situation and therefore yield potential, i.e. characteristics that do not depend on farmers’ decisions. Pētniecības darbs ‘‘Izgulējumu profilakse internās aprūpes nodaļā’’ tika veikts ar mērķi noskaidrot vai māsas pielieto profilakses pasākumus, lai samazinātu izgulējumu rašanos riskus. Pētniecības uzdevums bija apkopot un analizēt zinātnisko literatūru un citus informācijas avotus par izgulējumiem un to profilaksi, izstrādāt pētniecības instrumentu-anketu, anketēt internās aprūpes māsas, apkopot un analizēt pētījuma iegūtos rezultātus, izstrādāt secinājumus. CD3+ and CD8+ T-Cell-Based Immune Cell Score and PD-(L)1 Expression in Pulmonary Metastases of Microsatellite Stable Colorectal Cancer

Simple Summary The lung is the second most common site of metastases in colorectal cancer (CRC). The aim of our study was to evaluate the prognostic value of CD3+ and CD8+ T-cell density based immune cell score (ICS) and PD-1/PD-L1 expression in resected pulmonary metastases of microsatellite stable CRC. The T-cell infiltration was higher in the first pulmonary metastases compared to primary tumour. Pulmonary metastases with high ICS had improved survival compared to low ICS after adjusting for confounders. High tumour cell PD-L1 expression was associated with favourable prognosis.
