Is organizational skill a will or a way to a successful lifestyle and workstyle?

2021

Organizational skill is a transversal competence, which is formed through concrete life experiences. On the labour market, organizations want high-performing employees with developed organizational skills. The approach of training the organizational competence is inductive, starting from personal life, competence formed through voluntary exercise, and continuing by practicing and improving it during school life and at work, through ways offered by academic education and management, but also through organizational skill management. This paper aims to analyse the concept of organizational skill, from the perspective of mental mechanisms involved in its formation, as well as human resource man…

Knowledge management – a source of sustainable competitiveness in the knowledge based economy

2006

Confirming the well known thesis knowledge is power, A. Toffler argued that the knowledge based society represents the acme of the human society development and P. Drucker said that the developed countries passing through the knowledge based society represents the biggest change of the modern world. That made possible and helped the emerging of the managerial revolution (defined as knowledge applied to knowledge itself) at the firm’s level. Under these circumstances, knowledge has to be seen as a strategic resource – source of competitive advantages and of managerial performances as well. Considering this, a firm’s management have to define a coherent behavioral model in order to seriously …

Some Considerations Regarding the Role and Importance of Talent Management

2018

The fact that human resources are an indispensable, vital resource, is unanimously accepted. Human resources enhance, improve the other resources and stand at the origin of all the performances of the company, of the achievement of its mission and goals. Every organization needs the right and talented people, specialists. Not only does an individual’s talent matter, it makes a difference. It is what grants more value to the company. Successful organizations are the ones that know how to find talented people, how to attract them, how to keep them and, particularly, how to enhance their talents.

Status versus nature of work : pre-service language teachers envisioning their future profession

2020

Considering the central role of identity in understanding teacher development, this paper addresses the ways in which pre-service language teachers envision their identities as future professionals. The paper is based on a qualitative study of 61 students’ visualisations of their future work during their first semester in language teacher education. The visualisations and accompanying descriptive texts were analysed using the principles of qualitative content analysis. In the analysis, two different ways of perceiving future professions, and thereby identities as professionals, were identified. The first was a nature-oriented perspective that focused on desired characteristics of the profes…

La production et valorisation des compétences sur le marché du travail : des approches néo-classiques à l'économie des conventions

2003

This research starts from human capital theory to study the production and valorization of competences in the labor market. Using the potentials and constraints of the neo-classical approach, the incorporation of other areas of economic science as well as other social sciences contributions are proposed. We believe that the key notions economics of education - human capital and wages, are necessary but they are inadequate to explain the level of individual competence or his level of remuneration. We propose a coherent integration of the theoretical and methodological tools of economics of education as well as of the economics of conventions and economics of human resources. And it includes …

Pupils' psychosocial skills in primary education : analysis of their relationship with teaching practices and pupil achievement

2021

The explanation of the differences in success between pupils in primary schools has already mobilized a great deal of research in the field of education. In this thesis, we explore the development of six psychosocial skills (WHO, 1994): cooperation, empathy, self-control, anxiety, self-esteem and internality. Given the prevalence of the effect of teaching practices on the student's educational pathway (Bressoux, 1994, 2001; Hanushek, 2002, 2014), we hypothesized that (1) the interactional profile of primary school teachers was related to the level of development of psychosocial competencies, and (2) the level of development of psychosocial competencies in relation to the teachers' profile h…
