The ongoing internationalization of audiovisual media increases the need for new ways of overcoming linguistic barriers. In Germany, where the common technique has always been dubbing, subtitles are however becoming more and more popular. The present article will deal with the application possibilities of subtitles in audiovisual translation with reference to humoristic elements. Tässä pro gradu -työssä tarkastellaan tuloerojen ja talouskasvun välistä yhteyttä kymmenen kehittyneen talouden muodostamalla maapaneelilla, jonka havainnot ulottuvat viime vuosisadan puolivälistä vuoteen 2010. Talouskasvua mitataan reaalisen BKT/capitan vuosittaisella muutoksella, tuloeroja puolestaan ylimmän persentiilin osuudella talouden tuloista. Työssä sovelletaan vektoriautoregressiivistä lähestymistapaa lyhyen aikavälin relaation estimoimiseksi. Tässä tutkimuksessa tutkittiin Jyväskylä Sinfonian kevään 2009 neljän konsertin yleisöjä. Perusteellisen yleisöprofiilin lisäksi tarkoituksena oli kartoitettaa, mitä konsertit kuulijoilleen merkitsevät. Osana tätä kysyttiin konsertin erilaisten sisällöllisten seikkojen kiinnostavuutta taiteellisella sekä sosiaalisella tasolla, ja painotuttiin erityisesti ohjelmiston merkitykseen erityyppisten konserttien yleisöjen keskuudessa. Samalla tutkittiin yleisön edustajien näkemyksiä taidemusiikin konsertti-instituutiota ja konventioita kohtaan. Teoriapohja muodostettiin musiikkisosiologian (mm. Tietoyhteiskunnan kehitys heijastuu tulevina vuosina myös ylioppilastutkintoihin, sillä vuodesta 2016 alkaen ensimmäiset ylioppilaskirjoitukset suoritetaan sähköisesti tietokoneita hyödyntäen. Myös englannin kielen opetukselle tekstinkäsittelyohjelmilla kirjoitettavat ylioppilasaineet asettavat haasteita ja mahdollisuuksia. Tässä tutkielmassa tarkasteltiin lukiolaisten englanninkielisen kantaa ottavan tekstin tuottamisen taitoja tekstinkäsittelyohjelmien asettamien mahdollisuuksien näkökulmasta.
