Ontology-based state representations for intention recognition in human–robot collaborative environments

In this paper, we describe a novel approach for representing state information for the purpose of intention recognition in cooperative human-robot environments. States are represented by a combination of spatial relationships in a Cartesian frame along with cardinal direction information. This approach is applied to a manufacturing kitting operation, where humans and robots are working together to develop kits. Based upon a set of predefined high-level state relationships that must be true for future actions to occur, a robot can use the detailed state information described in this paper to infer the probability of subsequent actions occurring. The asymptotic expression for the ponderomotive force in the magnetic liquid film is derived and a role of the disjoining pressure in 2D magnetic foam formation is considered. New equation for the force balance at the vertex of 2D magnetic foam is proposed and modified Plateau rule for the films is obtained. The theoretical relation for the angle between films fits the experimental data for small magnetic Bond numbers very well.
Dynamic Anomalies and their Relation to the Glass Transition: A Neutron Scattering Study of the Glass Forming Van der Waals Liquid Ortho-terphenyl

Neutron scattering experiments on the molecular glass former ortho-terphenyl reveal a dynamic anomaly at a temperature Tc ≈ 290 K well above the calorimetric glass temperature Tg = 243 K. Close above Tc the density autocorrelation function ΦQ(t) shows a two step decay over 4–5 decades in time. The slower component obeys the time-temperature superposition principle. Its line shape can be well parametrized by a Kohlrausch law and is strongly temperature dependent as its relaxation time scales with the shear viscosity. Several lines of evidence suggest that the Archean (4.0 2.5 Ga) mantle was hotter than today's potential temperature (TP) of 1350 ° C. However, the magnitude of such difference is poorly constrained, with TP estimation spanning from 1500 ° C to 1600 ° C during the Meso‐Archean (3.2‐2.8 Ga).
