The Doppler effect is caused by the relative movement between the transmitter (Tx) and the receiver (Rx) and/or the surface motion (waves) in underwater acoustic (UWA) communication systems. The inter-channel interference (ICI) caused by the Doppler effect degrades the performance of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems over UWA channels. Joint Audit, Audit Market Structure, and Consumer Surplus

We use a structural application of the discrete choice model to investigate how the introduction of a joint audit policy would affect audit market structure and consumer surplus. We perform this policy evaluation by identifying demand fundamentals in a joint audit regime and applying them to a single audit regime. We find that a joint audit requirement has the potential to change the audit market structure substantially but that the effects are sensitive to the specific policy design. The empirical Karplus-type dependence of (3)J((119)Sn,(13)C) and (3)J((119)Sn,(1)H) couplings in organotin(IV) derivatives has been computationally validated by DFT methods both at the nonrelativistic and scalar ZORA relativistic level. A preliminary calibration of the computational protocols, by comparing experimental and calculated couplings for a Set Of Suitable rigid molecules, revealed their high predictive power: in particular, relativistic results for (3)J((119)Sn,(13)C) have a mean absolute error of just above 2 Hz, over a range of values up to about 70 Hz. Abstract We have tested the performance of DFT protocols, both at the Scalar relativistic ZORA and non-relativistic level of theory, for the calculation of the 3 J( 119 Sn, 13 C) and 3 J( 119 Sn, 1 H) vicinal couplings for a series of flexible organotin(IV) derivatives with formula XMe2SnCHRCHR′COOMe (X = Me, Cl; R, R′ = Me, Ph). A satisfactory agreement between experimental and calculated vicinal couplings has been obtained by taking into account the conformational behaviour of the compounds investigated. New rotational levels in $^{186}$Re nucleus

International audience; Excited levels of 186 Re have been studied using results of the single γ -ray spectra measurements following the thermal neutron capture reaction. Energies and intensities of more than 500 γ -transitions have been obtained with the high-resolution crystal diffraction spectrometer GAMS5 of ILL. Most of the obtained intense γ -transitions have been placed in the 186 Re level scheme. A number of new levels, as well as the depopulation for levels observed earlier in the 187 Re (p,d)186 Re reaction measurements have been proposed.
