The Large Observatory For x-ray Timing (LOFT) was studied within ESA M3 Cosmic Vision framework and participated in the final down-selection for a launch slot in 2022-2024. Thanks to the unprecedented combination of effective area and spectral resolution of its main instrument, LOFT will study the behaviour of matter under extreme conditions, such as the strong gravitational field in the innermost regions of accretion flows close to black holes and neutron stars, and the supra-nuclear densities in the interior of neutron stars. The risk of corrosion in oxygen-free water has become an issue of scientific controversy possibly even threatening the realisation of the final disposal of spent nuclear fuel in Finland and Sweden. In Sweden there has been extensive discussion about the issue since 2007, but only recently has this debate increased in Finland although the similar disposal concept (KBS-3) is applied in both countries. Ydinjätteen loppusijoitus on ydinvoiman elinkaareen liittyvä seikka, jota ei ole vielä aloitettu missään. Suomessa ja Ruotsissa ydinjätteen loppusijoituksessa aiotaan käyttää Ruotsissa kehitettyä KBS-3-menetelmää, jonka turvallisuus on kuitenkin herättänyt keskustelua niin asiantuntijoiden kesken kuin julkisuudessa. KBS-3-loppusijoitusmenetelmän turvallisuuteen liittyvä riskikeskustelu on lähes kyseenalaistanut menetelmän käytön Ruotsissa, kun taas Suomessa keskustelu on yleistynyt myöhemmin. This paper reports the results of an analysis of process wastewater streams in the context of an increase in yeast production. This research is based on the analysis of data from the biggest yeast factory in Europe. The research presented in this paper involves the analysis of the influence of direction of additional wastewater into the evaporator station on yeast production. In the process wastewater, nitrogen is mainly present in organic forms. The analysis reported in this paper involves the concentration of total nitrogen in wastewater streams, as it is the main parameter applied to determine the amount of wastewater that can be applied in agricultural fields. In this dissertation, I study the observance of holy days among the peasantry in the early modern province of Savo, located on the eastern periphery of the Swedish kingdom (today Eastern Finland). I examine the practices, norms and meanings related to the observance of holy days both within and outside the Church, and analyse the changes and continuities in the post-reformation period. As the main sources of the study, I use district court records and visitation records mainly from the period 1639–1712. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli selvittää millaisena ammattioppilaitoksen esteettömyys ilmenee erityistä tukea tarvitsevan ja oppimisvaikeustaustaisen opiskelijan ja hänen opettajiensa kokemana. Tutkimuksessa tuotiin esille opiskeluympäristön toteutumista, opiskelijoiden ja opettajien kokemuksia esteettömyydestä ja oppimisen ongelmista. Mielenkiinnon kohteena olivat myös osa-alueet, joista esteettömyys kohderyhmien ko-kemuksissa rakentuu. Ammattitaitovaatimukset ovat kasvaneet ammatillisessa oppilaitoksessa. Ammattiin liittyvää oppimisen taitoa tarvitaan myös opiskelun jälkeisessä elämässä ja elinikäisen oppimisen velvoittamana koko loppuiän. Kaikki opiskelijat eivät kuitenkaan saavuta tarvitta…
