Infection-induced chromatin modifications facilitate translocation of herpes simplex virus capsids to the inner nuclear membrane

Herpes simplex virus capsids are assembled and packaged in the nucleus and move by diffusion through the nucleoplasm to the nuclear envelope for egress. Analyzing their motion provides conclusions not only on capsid transport but also on the properties of the nuclear environment during infection. We utilized live-cell imaging and single-particle tracking to characterize capsid motion relative to the host chromatin. The data indicate that as the chromatin was marginalized toward the nuclear envelope it presented a restrictive barrier to the capsids. This paper explores the processes, strategies, and methods used when preparing an expressive vocal performance from the point-of-view of the artist. The study tracked the development and performance preparation of 13 university students studying classical voice performance or music education. Participants were asked to choose one unfamiliar piece from their repertoire and complete three surveys administered at the beginning, middle, and end of their study term. No ķirurģiskā materiāla izdalīto Escherichia Coli antibakteriālās rezistences noteikšana

Escherichia coli ir plaši izplatīti mikroorganismi, lielākā daļa to celmu ir nekaitīgi, taču daži var izraisīt infekcijas. Galvenā šo infekciju problēma ir strauja mikroorganismu rezistences attīstība pret antibakteriālajiem preparātiem. Darba mērķis ir noteikt un analizēt no ķirurģiskā materiāla izolēto E.coli rezistenci pret antibakteriālajiem preparātiem 2021.gadā. Praktiskajā daļā analizēti kopumā 70 izolāti, atsevišķi 46 no pēcoperāciju brūcēm. Rezultāti liecina, ka izolātos dominē rezistence pret ampicilīnu, savukārt vislabākājā jutība ir pret gentamicīnu, kā arī visi izolāti bija rezistenti pret papildus nosakāmo cefoperazonu, bet jutīgi pret imipenēmu.
