Hydrogen-bond-mediated self-assembly of 26-membered diaza tetraester crowns of 3,5-disubstituted 1 h -pyrazole. Dimerization study in the solid state…
2011
By using an improved synthetic method reported earlier, the cyclic stannoxanes obtained from RN-diethanolamine (R = Me, Bu) and dibutyltin oxide have been reacted with 1H-pyrazole-3,5-dicarbonyl dichloride to afford 26-membered diaza tetraester crowns (1, R = Me; 3, R = Bu) and 39-membered triaza hexaester crowns (2, R = Me; 4, R = Bu). The new structures were identified from their analytical and spectroscopic (1H and 13C NMR, FAB-MS, and/or ESI-MS) data. Both diaza tetraester crowns (1 and 3), containing two 1H-pyrazole units, self-assemble into dimeric species through the formation of four hydrogen bonds involving the two NH pyrazole groups and the two tertiary amine groups of both crowns…
Design of new sensitive α,β-unsaturated carbonyl 1,8-naphtalimide fluorescent probes for thiol bioimaging
2017
International audience; We report herein an efficient synthesis of news naphtalimide-based fluorescent derivatives functionalized with an a,(3-unsaturated carbonyl group. Probes were synthesized from reaction of an amino-naphtalimide precursor with maleic anhydride. Photophysical study of fluorescent probes and cells labelling were performed, and showed that the reactive derivatives exhibit rich turn on fluorescence properties in presence of different biological thiol (Glutathione and Cysteine) making these systems a very promising way for thiol bioimaging.
Bacteriochlorin-diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) hybrids : New near-infrared fluorophores for biosensing/bioimaging applications
2020
Near-infrared (700-900 nm) absorbing and emitting organic-based fluorophores are valuable tools for bioimaging applications. Indeed, biological component absorption, diffusion and autofluorescence are quite low in this region (known as the first therapeutic window NIR-I), making tissues relatively transparent to these long wavelengths. Bacteriochlorins are porphyrins derivatives in which two double bonds are reduced. These molecules display a strong absorption and emission within NIR-I spectral range. DPPs are structurally simpler fluorophores displaying very interesting properties. They have high fluorescence quantum yields, are highly (photo)chemically and thermally stable. The aim of thi…
rRNA probing of chromosomal DNA of epidemic and sporadic isolates of Salmonella enterica subsp. Enterica serovar kottbus from Northern and Southern I…
1990
Fifty-two strains of Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Kottbus, identified at the Centres of Enterobacteriaceae of Northern and Southern Italy, were investigated by molecular genetic methods. Thirteen isolates were recovered during two food-poisoning outbreaks that occurred in May 1987 in Lombardy. The rDNA gene restriction patterns, obtained by probing endonuclease cleaved chromosomal DNA with photobiotin labeled Escherichia coli rRNA, revealed some heterogeneity among strains isolated from Southern Italy, whereas Northern Italy isolates exhibited virtually identical banding patterns.
Stimulation of immediate early gene expression by desipramine in rat brain.
1997
The stimulation of immediate early gene expression in brain and neuronal cell culture systems has been reported after various experimental paradigms such as chemiconvulsant-provoked seizures or specific drug applications. In particular, the induction of immediate early genes by adrenergic model substances has been demonstrated by several investigators. This report demonstrates that a single dose of desipramine (10 or 25 mg/kg), a classical tricyclic antidepressant drug acting on the adrenergic system, induced c-fos and zif268 expression in rat hippocampus without affecting c-jun. The observed immediate early gene response might reflect part of a signal transduction cascade involved in long-…
Site-specific incorporation of perylene into an N-terminally modified light-harvesting complex II.
2010
Employing the utility of the native chemical ligation, site-specific attachment of an ultrastable perylene dye to a derivative of the major light-harvesting complex (LHCII) was demonstrated. Biochemical analysis of the conjugate indicated that the structure and function of LHCII remain largely unaffected by the N-terminal modification.
In situ formation of pyronin dyes for fluorescence protease sensing
2017
International audience; We report a reaction-based strategy for the fluorogenic detection of protease activity. Based on the "covalent-assembly" probe design principle recently put forward by the Yang group for detection of Sarin related threats (J. Am. Chem. Soc., 2014, 136, 6594-6597), we have designed two unusual nonfluorescent caged precursors (mixed bis-aryl ethers) which are readily converted into a fluorescent unsymmetrical pyronin dye through a domino cyclisation-aromatisation reaction triggered by penicillin G acylase (PGA) or leucine aminopeptidase (LAP). Fluorescence-based in vitro assays and HPLCfluorescence/- MS analyses support the claimed activation mechanism whose the furthe…
