Taking a cognitive lexical semantics perspective, the article introduces the concept of conceptual silencing as a rhetorical tool. Understood as a process of conceptual dissolution of meaning to offer a more coarse-grained sense of an expression, conceptual silencing is demonstrated to have a potential rhetorical value in that it allows for more opaque reproduction of ideology. From a cognitive linguistic standpoint, the process of conceptual silencing hinges upon a polysemous nature of a lexical item and boils down to triggering a given sense of a given lexical item in a given context. In Sicily, the current increasing cultivation of Opuntia ficus-indica (L.) Mill. corresponds to a availability of prickly pears pulp (PPP) that residues from fruits processing for juice extraction, comprised of peel, pulp and seeds. This investigation aim to evaluate the nutritional traits of PPP for ruminants feeding, and the effect of potassium metabisulfite (PMB) as a natural stabilizer to limit initial rapid PPP fermentation. This paper presents a comparison of three post-weld treatments for fatigue life improvement of welded joints. The objective is to determine the most suitable post-weld treatment for implementation in mass production of certain crane components manufactured from very high-strength steel. The processes investigated are: burr grinding, TIG dressing and ultrasonic impact treatment. W pracy podjęto próbę określenia wpływu techniki dawkowania preparatu enzymatycznego na zmiany mikrobiologiczne i przemiany węglowodorów alifatycznych w glebie naturalnie skażonej węglowodorami. Materiał do badań stanowiła gleba naturalnie skażona substancjami ropopochodnymi, w której całkowite stężenie węglowodorów alifatycznych o długości łańcuchów C8-C40 wynosiło 420,1 mg/kg suchej masy. How different policy instruments affect green product innovation : A differentiated perspective

Based on representative firm-level data for the three countries Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, we investigate the effects of energy-related regulations, taxes, voluntary agreements, and subsidies on the creation of green energy products, and analyze through which channels policy affects green product innovation and which factors mediate the observed effects. Policy may affect green product innovation by directly stimulating the supply of green products/services, or more indirectly by stimulating the demand for green products/services.
